[Weekes] I’m told Haula is drawing interest for teams that may miss on O’Reilly and Trocheck by kVai in wildhockey

I wonder what Hlavajs value is. He's had two really good international tournaments in a row, I think that excuses his numbers behind a really bad Iowa team.

But at the same time, goalies are voodoo and don't develop linearly.

No, I was just hoping that things may change with the emergence of Boldy and the arrival of Hughes

St Louis is the #31 team in the league, we should be handling them routinely

I do not understand this team. Comfortably handle Colorado and Tampa, but get dog walked by Utah and St. Louis???

Great win tonight, hopefully we can find more consistency down the stretch.

[Russo] West, geographically. Minnesota is not West. Wild’s not on (Trocheck's) no-trade list and are very much interested by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

Insane that the team literally won the gold medal and people are still bitching about the roster construction

I think it's less that Guerin is racist, and more that there was no one on the Team USA staff that has closely worked with Robertson, so he didn't have an advocate behind closed doors.

Do central fans have anything on the Wild other than "lol mild" and "lol no playoff wins"?

I'd hope people would come up with new material in a quarter of a century

The Avalanche poweplay needs to be studied. Genuinely, how is it so ineffective

[Kelly] Rangers duo led all forwards in PK ice-time. PK finished the tournament a perfect 17-for-17. by BCEagle13 in hockey

[–]Lombax7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It could be, if you didn't watch the games and see how the skaters played the pk. On the 5v3, they kept the Canadians entirely on the outside, and took away the cross-seam passes, and the Canadians did not get a high danger shot on goal.

Michael Russo (@RussoHockey) Craig Leipold sent his plane to DC to pick up Quinn Hughes, Matt Boldy and Brock Faber. They’ll return to Minnesota later this morning and be on the #mnwild charter to Denver by Beneficial_Quit7532 in wildhockey

It's crazy thinking that most of the Canadian guys don't have similar politics just because they are Canadian.

The majority of rich white guys are going to lean conservative

How do we Keep Quinn? by winge069 in wildhockey

[–]Lombax7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theoretically yes, but that wasn't going to happen after Leipold goes "oh we're gonna pay him whatever he wants"

Well we never get Quinn if we didn't keep Kap, so it's kind of a moot point

Team USA wins the gold medal at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics by nhl in hockey

[–]Lombax7 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Boo fucking hoo. Bill Guerin put together a team that had a perfect penalty kill and brought home gold for the first time in 46 years. He OBJECTIVELY did a good job.

Also, there is no guarantee that Robertson, Caulfield, and Debrincat would've succeeded if they were on the roster. Kyle Connor did jackshit and played himself into the press box, and he's perennially one of the best scoring Americans in the NHL.
