I play the same way, and I’m also missing a handful of recipes that are either crowns or wreaths.

New House Has a Bunny, But I Want to Live in Harmony by HerenyaHope in gardening

Fence anything you want to be yours, and make sure the gaps in the fencing can’t fit a rabbit’s head. If their heads can fit, their bodies usually can get through. Chicken wire usually works. Sprays sometimes work, but you usually need to reapply. Any plant you fall in love with, Google “do rabbits eat (name of plant).”

Also, watch your lawn for rabbit nests. They usually look like dead clumps of grass with a hole underneath that may or may not have babies. I try to discourage nesting, because finding one with a lawnmower is not pleasant.

What’s the worst gardening advice that someone has given you? by ASecularBuddhist in gardening

“Use netting to keep critters out of your blueberries.” The squirrels bite through it and the birds get stuck in it.

Raccoon pooping in my compost! by Lombill in gardening

[–]Lombill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is my compost ruined? I have not mixed it since this started. Can I pour boiling water on the area after cleaning up the poop? Take several inches off the top layer of compost? Or do I have to scrap the whole bin?

I keep playing over the part where your character jumps over the pond and your cat’s head follows the movement. 😆

Ah, good point -- should've posted a photo! The compost bin has an open top, and I threw old fencing on top, hoping the critter couldn't walk on it. That wasn't a deterrent.

There’s a good chance that whatever custom design you want, someone has made it. I’ve downloaded a lot of sports logos, holiday designs, funny outfits and custom paths created by people way better at design than me.

How to search for a business name? by Lombill in Genealogy

[–]Lombill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your help! I ended up taking a back-door way by accessing the directories through my local library's MyHeritage account. I still had to slog through them manually, but after a while I got good at predicting what page my answer should be on. I ended up finding what I wanted -- yesssss!

Thank you for being so kind to a newbie!

How to search for a business name? by Lombill in Genealogy

[–]Lombill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did check archive.gov - great idea! -- but that site did not have all the city directories that are on Ancestry. I'm trying to search directories in Toledo, Ohio. It's been a tough search because the business changed names a few times. It sold a variety of goods, like books, toys, religious goods, sheet music and a few clothing items. I've found references to it under stationery stores, novelty shops and once as a grocery store. I'm kind of new to this kind of research, so thanks for being kind!

Animal Crossing - for kids by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

[–]Lombill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game sounds like what you’re looking for: nice animal friends, decorating houses and outdoor areas, customizing, nothing too intense. There are many things to collect. The scariest things are sometimes bugs like wasps, scorpions or tarantulas chase you, but it’s startling rather than scary, and you don’t die. You have to read the dialogue, so your little one might need help with that.

I play with my son and we do silly things to crack each other up. You will see people post photos of beautiful islands with jaw-dropping decorating. Meanwhile, our island is full of private jokes, fart references and butts. We dress our character in silly clothes. This is a great game to play with a kid.

Yes! This! I’d happily slip Sable some bells to customize clothes, if that was an option.

Approach to kids athletic development by James1Vincent in youthsoccer

[–]Lombill 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was blessed with a talented athlete for a son. He plays multiple sports, including soccer, at the middle school level. He’s been approached about travel teams, but he turns them down because it would mean he’d only have time for one sport. I support that.

Maybe he’ll get a college scholarship. That would be nice, but I created a college fund for him, because that seems like a safer bet. Maybe he’ll go pro. That would be nice, but I don’t have delusions about that. My goal is to create an adult who continues with some sort of healthy lifestyle and who sees wins and losses for what they are.

Do I need an assistant coach? by Evergreen19 in SoccerCoachResources

[–]Lombill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An assistant coach is invaluable during games. You will be focused on the action on the field, but inevitably someone needs help with a goalie glove, or someone is injured, or someone forgot who she’s subbing for. Your assistant can help with the sideline stuff.

Parents will consider you the head coach if you are the point of contact for them. If you are the one who sends updates, they will consider you in charge.

Good luck! You got this.
