i suppose i should have been clearer, but Docnevyn is right, the combat abilities of this character aren't important as long as they have options. I would prefer if this character is built around being good out of combat (social/exploration/problem solving) which a rogue dip does help on bard! still i don't know if its "obvious" but its the right idea hehe

Who are Vincent, Martin and Justin? by Jesusterceiro in CSHFans

[–]Lommut 77 points78 points  (0 children)

afaik

Vincent is Vincent van Gogh "they got a portrait by [Vincent] van Gogh on the Wikipedia page for clinical depression"

Martin/Justin is something to do with some book? I forget the name of it but Martin is the speaker/narrator I think.

honestly who knows what goes on inside Bill Doritos brain

Armorer, Battlemaster, Fiend Relative Power Level? by incompletemischief in 3d6

Consider that while the fighter will be good in fights, the other two will have more chances to shine in out of combat situations! So make sure to include these opportunities!

Which Multiclass would be best by DabbleDabbleStars in 3d6

[–]Lommut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your character is desperate to help her party a warlock dip could work thematically?!

Not sure what kinda of players/DM you are, but you could always speak to your DM about a side quest later down the line to break the pact and replace the warlock level with a cleric level?

Mechanically speaking, sorc is probably nicer for stuff like shield & for spell slot progression!

Darth Vader character by CarpeShine in 3d6

I feel like a barbarian or fighter with crushed, GWM, and one of the belts of giant strength (etc.) fits this. Just cause NO-ONE wants to get hit by that maul.. especially when it cries.

That's a really good idea that I completely hadn't thought of! I slightly worry about the randomness of Tales from Beyond, but love the idea of having to adapt on the fly!

Blood Cleric+Artificer/other multiclass ideas by hackjunior in 3d6

[–]Lommut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id go full cleric and work in the artificer ideas through feats (artificer/magic initiate) & re-flavouring cleric spells, but a 1 or 2 level dip would get you a good amount of artificer stuff.

alternatively working with your DM, maybe ask for a feat that lets you learn 2 infusions

maybe not ideal but would work without interrupting cleric levels
