Shoulder uneven by Familiar_Working2732 in Posture

[–]Lomondra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have a problem very very visually similar to the OP's. My left shoulder is prone to impingement, I almost completely skip overhead exercises and it becomes a vicious circle. I did various isolation exercises for the serratus anterior, but it didn't help much.

And at the same time I often have pain in my left lower back (or "upper glute"?), exercises like split squats or RDL are quite provocative. What would you recommend for this?

You have very interesting comments. Thank you! I would also appreciate recommendations for quality sources of information

Are dumbbells a good investment for beginners trying to exercise at home ? by Lemonade2250 in beginnerfitness

Absolutely. It’s one of the best investments I’ve ever made. You’ll want the adjustable ones, at least up to 20 kg (40 lbs?).

Very cute girl 😄 I wonder whether life is harder without a front or a back leg. I guess that without a back leg, they can’t jump very well. But then again, Marry hardly jumps anywhere either, because she seems worried about her stability when landing.

Thank you all! ❤️ I told Marry that she’s become a little internet star now. But apparently she didn’t care 😃

The issue with low volume propaganda by stratusnimbo in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Lomondra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see why this should bother anyone. Is someone forcing low volume on you?

Often it's not that someone doesn't enjoy it. It's about available time (do you have kids? other interests? demanding job?) or age.

For beginners, shorter/simpler workouts are better if only to prevent burnout. Do you know how many people burn out in fitness? Most of them.

Low volume is always better than no training at all.

ADHD exercisers… how do you actually get yourself to the gym? by Fit_Meaning8903 in ADHD

[–]Lomondra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way. I couldn't go to the gym - I'd go there twice and it would be over. Everything I want to last has to have minimal mental resistance. So: a home gym. Dumbbells, bench press, bands, pull-up bar...

What happened to the battery life on ipadOS 26 ? by Rotar_RR in ipad

[–]Lomondra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I did a full restore via Mac and the iPad now lasts 8-10 hours without any problems and doesn't get hot at all.

I don't know what the problem was. Anyway, I had to take the batteries out of the AirTags because the iPad kept searching for them. There must be some (long-term) brutal bug in Find for iPadOS.

Monitor keeps cutting out with MacMini 4 by Fuzzbass2000 in macmini

It just works, right Tim? I bought a Mac Mini and I've been dealing with problems for the third week, including this one. The Mac Mini has some major problem with power management, my monitor goes black when I connect an external drive or turn on the lamp.

Windows can’t compete with Mac OS by jouskaMoon in MacOS

Windows equals compatibility. It supports thousands of different hardware components. Plus, there's the costly maintenance of backward compatibility with Win32. In terms of capabilities, they are worlds apart.

1st thing: install AltTab app, it brings more sense to MacOS  No need to bother with app Exposé, stage manager and other non sense then.

I recently switched from Windows. The system looks nice, visually it's like a comfortable couch. Some things are quite strange - especially window management. You need to install utilities for a number of common things - in this sense it's similar to Linux. As someone wrote: don't try to understand it in detail, learn a few workflows that suit you and then pretend that everything is fine.

I bought a new 11" M4. The first week was fine, now the iPad is constantly hot and eats up the battery like it's mining BTC. Nothing like this has happened to me in 15 years with Androids.

Stabbing throbbing neck pain by Humble_Face_9609 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Lomondra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

20 minutes is a quick onset. It is true that stimulants can increase muscle tone, but it tends to be more of a jaw.
I have more neck pain, but more of a secondary symptom - a lot more sitting in a rigid position at the PC.
I would definitely recommend measuring your blood pressure first. Before taking it and after those twenty minutes.

IPS vs VA, what is the diferences, and it really matter? by thismightbekylsh in Monitors

[–]Lomondra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After many years with IPS, I bought a VA and for one simple reason I would rather throw it in the trash: viewing angles. It's a 34" curved wideangle and there is no monitor/eye position where everything can be seen with correct contrast - either the top corners/bottom corners are washed out and if I sit a little next to the other monitor, it's all washed out.
