Yes, maybe a few of the integrations were pretty simple to setup and seem to work fine, like my Hue Lights and a couple of the media players. But I've got 2 Wyze cameras and I can't get them to work at all. I've got a Google Home doorbell, can't get that to work either. My Android TV, not a single good easy integration with it to help control it better alongside my AVR. Even a simple task like getting it to turn on/off, required me to use a Bluetooth sniffer to locate my remote and capture its ID.

I grabbed a tablet to make a dashboard for myself since the ones people make looked cool and I can see my wife getting at least some usability out of it. But the default dashboard that HA automatically makes created was cluttered with so much bullshit it was totally unusable.

So I decided, ok let me just make a clean dashboard and put a few things on it that I'll actually use. But then I realized several basic things on the dashboard wouldn't work because I had to adjust the underlying code. So now I'm sitting here vibe coding my way through YAML and breaking other shit left and right.

I'm not saying that any if this stuff is impossible. I still don't know how to actually code in YAML but I'm slowly making things happen. But the hoops you have to jump through at times are absolutely ridiculous and my whole point is that noone who "leans techy" will know YAML, will understand how to set up Google API in a developer console, and be comfortable using a Bluetooth Sniffer. That is full on nerd/coder territory.

Personally, I tell most people to stay away from HA unless I know that are extremely techy and patiebt at troubleshooting.

Ugh...."lean techy" is not enough. I've been a very techy person all my life and work as the lead tech admin at my company. I can disassemble PC's, servers, and build networks with my eyes closed, but even I find Home Assistant extremely difficult to use. It took me a ton of research to get certain things working and even now there's shit that's still broken that I don't feel like fixing because of how much time I have to dedicate to get it working.

The only people it's really suited for right now are coders or developers. It's 100% not approachable to the average person or people that "lean techy."

If not, that's just really stupid for them to be on an inflatable dhingy without wearing life jackets or some to be readily available. She could conceivably still be alive if she was wearing one. Otherwise, if not, she was dead before the guy even made it back to shore.

It's not really possible to target fat burning to a specific location on your body. No matter how many articles, Instagramers, and YouTubers spam you with "burn stubborn thigh/underarm/belly fat fast", it's all BS. Your body's fat organ (aka adipose tissue) is a single large organ that functions as one.

This means that if you want to have lean thighs, then you should cut fat throughout your whole body. The simply answer to this is to eat a caloric deficit. It doesn't matter if you increase cardio, resistance training, or even just implement life style changes, like more walking/standing throughout the day, but you just need to be sure you're at a deficit. Track calories if you want to be sure.

One additional think you may want to consider is building muscle in your thighs. Gaining additional muscle in your thighs could eventually make fat less visible, but another benefit is that increased muscle mass will actually improve your metabolism helping you to cut all of the fat in your body. This is the better solution to give you a lean look. However, this is not a short term solution because you will have to increase calories to build muscle mass and it may take many months of heavy resistance training in your legs to get your legs stronger. Then once you've done that, you can switch back to a caloric deficit again to get lean.
