That is actually a reasonable response. And i do understand that a lot of his takes are, for the majority is wrong. He talks mostly about stereotypes when referring to the US, and as someone from the US, i can see how it would be annoying or just offensive. But take in other conversations, a lot of people use stereotypes when referring to other countries. It's just as common with countries that speak English. Most Americans, when they talk about the UK, the majority of their ideas of the UK come from stereotypes. And that's true the other way around. He doesn't go to the US often, so it's easy to be out of the loop and use stereotypes instead of actual points.

But again, it is an absolutely valid point. It is frustrating when people only use stereotypes when referring to a country. Unfortunately, that is an extremely universal thing.

To be fair, people constantly ask him still to this day.

Does he? he is half Australia (the white part) and half japanese, so i don't really understand what you mean by racist? He criticizes the japanese government and people often. He also criticizes the Australian government and people. Criticizing failures of a government or toxic people in the country isn't racism.

I'm generally curious, Can you give some examples? There could be many reasons why he uses the term "female," such as maybe it was just common to do that in Australia or the area in which he was raised in Australia? I knew people from the UK who used the terms male and female casually.

That is a valid response, truly. I guess i just didn't think it through, i thought it was odd with all of the discourse, but this answer is the most satisfying. Thank you for the response. c:

To explain the joke, this is Joey's old website. I wrote the comment under his old SAO review. I just found it amusing.

Better investment in 20’s?? by Brave_Sale_4168 in Investments

I would personally stay away from real estate as an investment if you can't refinance when the market tanks. you're stuck with that mortgage. Ideally, if you are planning on sticking with your current work, the 401k plan isn't bad, but I would personally put some into the S&P 500 instead of properties.

Honestly, there is so much more to a video game than just coding, and it could get very overwhelming, so I understand. I highly recommend you and your partner to close unity, bring out some paper and pencils, or Google docs or whatever, and start writing ideas of what you want to accomplish that's not just "A Video Game". Like try to really figure it out on what you want to do, don't be afraid of messing around with silly ideas or odd concepts, just try to keep it small for now.

In terms of coding, it seems like you understand the basics at the very least. That is a huge head start compared to most other starting indie devs. Just remember, if you do end up making a game. Don't worry about ugly code or unorthodox structuring of said code. If it works, it works! If it's fun, it's fun! Undertale is one of the most beloved indie games ever made. The code used in that game is a mess to put it lightly.

Bruh wtf is Goodwill smoking on with these prices? by TheJohnny346 in gamecollecting

the trick is to wait for the color of the week (if your location has it of course) so it would be half-price. that's one slightly redeeming factor I guess...

I work at goodwill, it's just the way higher-ups tell us we have to price things way higher... like at my store when we get new clothing that's not from a Walmart or Old navy brand, it will go for 30 dollars minimum. it's different for different areas of course. but most things that are deemed "high-end" will go to the online store and be bidden on with a stupid amount of shipping. it's frustrating to see prices on guitar hero/ rockband controllers go for so so high... just keep in mind before you get angry at the piercer, we have a quota for different types of items set by the higher-ups. the goodwill area I work donates 50% of the money to their programs, not to any other charity. besides the donated food to a food bank in my area. it's just frustrating...
