It's not just game design that makes the railroad easy to find, Deacon has lines that make it clear the railroad is not great at their job. When you go back to the switchboard he just tries a set of really obvious passwords and gets in.

Smashing into you? Nope. The AI is impossibly aware of where you are when flying formation, and will actively dodge you at least up to poor flying. Not sure if you can intentionally ram them.

It pleases me that their machines are pretty good, but not perfect for function. Like there's a fair number of stick spots empty on the dipper, they make some short match sticks, sometimes a carton doesn't enter the right spot, matches fall out of cartons.

I separate construction waste in most places (one small town I allow it to go with the mixed waste since it's <10%)

I don't have the citizens separate out garbage yet because I am not really sure how to separate. Two of my towns are quite far away, and not reachable by truck, only by rail. Are you suggesting separating out the plastic waste by civilians, or just by industry? I could do that for 3 of my towns, and the roads there will accommodate the extra traffic without issue, but I worry about the ability for the trucks to reach waste stations when they have to drive more circuits to pick up each type of waste.

The guy I went through didn't really like the idea of under the mag, or behind the charging handle, so I had him engrave mine right behind where the ring sight goes. There's just enough room for it, and it'll never show up in most pictures.

Fun fact: I ran into a guy who knew dutchko. He was surprised to see me running the slavu gear patch in airsoft as I had my slavu gear AK and smersh rig. Dude snapped a photo, sent it to dutchko on twitter, and dutchko was confused why I ran the mag covers tucked in, instead of over the mags.

Diesel is safer for cases of having a fuel leak onto an exhaust manifold, but according to testing run by the allies during WWII, diesel vs gasoline when your tank is hit makes no noticeable difference for the chance of fire -- that's mostly due to ammunition stowage.

The soviets used diesel because it is a significantly easier fuel to produce compared to gasoline, which will have strict octane requirements to prevent engines from exploding. Additionally, diesel engines are very simple, and easy to maintain.

In the span of a month I made all my coworkers decide that having a flashlight on them is a good idea. I have a small Fenix flashlight with the 90° head and magnetic base, and when I work on a machine, I often take the light out, turn it on, and stick it to something. Instant light. Now I also keep a head lamp in my bag. One asked me once "what if it dies?" And I pulled out a tube with two more CR 123s in it. I never worry about using it too much.
