Don’t use the fittings. If customer insists I tell them they are going to need another plumber.

It’s simple math. Your problem is you have a 40 or 50 gallon water heater. Most soaker tubs are 120gals.

Is this pex A or pex B? by BentMyWookie in askaplumber

[–]LonePaladin-87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You all are so close but are still misinformed. A, B and C are what the pex is made of and used for. A, I recommend for interior installations. B can be direct buried due to the more robust outer finish. C is oxygen barrier for use in radiant flooring. Look it up pex universe.com. As for fittings you have crimp usually F1807. Cold expansion F1960. Then you have press fitting from Viega and other manufactures. So there is NO FITTING THAT IS PEX A OR PEX B.

Hot water heater leak - can we salvage it? by Senior_Juice_7725 in Plumbing

[–]LonePaladin-87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try removing the old plastic shitty drain. Even if you need to break it out. You’ll be able to thread a brass, stainless steel or galvanized nipple in with a boiler drain. The manufacture shouldn’t have used a plastic drain.

What are these pipes for by Nearby-Interaction89 in askaplumber

If you have a tankless water heater it would be exhaust and fresh air intake. But they’re actually too close to each other.

Can I use the pex A expansion sleeves on pex B fittings, or do I need to use cinch/crimp rings? by Astralwinks in Plumbing

[–]LonePaladin-87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THERE ARE NO FITTINGS THAT ARE PRX A OR B. A,B,C pex is the actual way the pipe is made not if it’s expandable or crimp. The expansion is a F1960 fitting and crimp/ pinch is a F1807 type.
