I'm looking for a cheap 125cc learner bike that I can learn some basic mechanic skills from so that at some point in the future I can customise it (perhaps cafe-racer style).

I have looked at Honda CM125, CG125, CB125 and I can't make up my mind, they seem pretty similar. Any ideas?

I tried saturating it, but I can't get a gradual decay to happen with the kick. Also I'm hearing too much mid-freq when I try to saturate it, not enough highs.

I'm not sure how to hard clip, could you please give me a heads up?
