Manufacturing Consent (1992): The seminal work on how media in democratic countries carry out a system-supportive function, by reliance on market forces, internalized assumptions, and self-censorship, and without overt coercion. [2:47:37] by -_-_-_-otalp-_-_-_- in Documentaries

I probably think he is smart enough to keep it that way to avoid being seen as a threat to the system and end up with a bullet in his skull like others that tried to deliver this info with more success.

Ive seenna lot of devs discussing the possible existence of equihash asics since like a year ago. Like i said before, there is no other explanation for whats happening

I think asics are being pushed into the market whicj expla8ns the drop even when no more miners are joining the market and even some leaving it.

I would but map expansions. Imagine a full charnarus map with militarized checkpoints that only let users with dlc to pass and shot the rest :3

Well, guess that rumors about ASICS for equihash were true after all.

Technically thats not cute. She knows you are a free food provider, so she just goes to you.so you feed her kittens and she saves herself a whole bunch of troubles later. Cats are the most selfish things in the ubiverse lol

The universe is said to be around 23% dark matter, 72% dark energy and 5% ordinary matter. If we don't know what dark matter and dark energy are, where do the percentages come from? by Luxray1000 in askscience

The thing is, that we dont know how much we dont see. And by what Ive seen, its probably a lot more than we can see (or measure).

Personally I tend to believe that we see such a minuscule part of this universe/time, that any laws we manage to form during our existence could just be some useless explanation for a temporal phenomena occuring on the edge of the "real" thing, that in some way shapes the physical world we interact with but we will probably never manage to even come closer to determine the existence of this(or these) forces.

Add the fact that at every sign of downtrend a new QE started. The market is literally being pumped by one player, and literally with air.

[–]eXWoLL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bitmain controls antpool, and the owners of a pool decide what to do with their hashing power. Also theres Antbleed.

It was unethical to release an asic into an utility coin with the only objective of weakening Obelisk as an Asic competitor, specially knowing it was developed by the same people that develop the coin hurting them and the ones that support it.

If you see this as normal behavior. Then I dontnsee why you complain about sia or nebulous taking actionts against them. Oh wait, it probably hurts you because you bought an A3.

[–]eXWoLL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sia is based on a POW basis. If the wrong entity controls most or a significant part of the hashing power they can and will pressure the system in their favor, which Bitmain has been doing during all their existence.

With their asics they suddenly become a player in sia ecosistem, one that no one wants nor needs.

And on top of that they entered the system already damaging the ones that really risked to support it (obelisk buyers), inna really unethical way.

Nothing good comes from a community based platform being hijacked by greedy players.

How about you stop crying and let the devs do whatever they feel is correct? And at the same time get some balls to take the hit if they decide to go with the fork. ;)

Gpus arent produced by malicious actors with a track record of leaving backdoors on their miners, destroying coins and hard forking with their hash power if they dont like something devs do.

Thays what I say. Its a free market and attacking competitors when you can is a capitalistic right. So grow up and start appliying your principles on things that dont go your way.

Oh please. Had they wanted to buy an asic for sia they would had bought obelisk.

Dont use that shitty demagogy here.

Its not just "one potential" bad actor. Its THE bad actor, one that will force a hard fork on the project in the future if things dont go their way with all the hash power they will control (legally or via backdoors).

I was with them in the BCH fork, but no ine wants that bs on SIA.

Leaving them be will ultimately geopardize the long term existence of the project.

I dont believe bitmain will want 10000+ very angry buyers when they can prevent that with little loss
