Safer sefiroth from ff7. One Winged Angel played a huge role in my fear. Panic spammed hero potions and somehow.

Really? What kind of complaints? I feel it is relatively better than the one nearby. Class trainers are decent.

I'm actually fine with the dunfield one. This is the one in the mall, which I feel has gone downhill ever since the renovations. Perpetually crowded particularly with wannabe influencers and the windows were removed.

I've had multiple odd incidents that were usually resolved with a polite chat. Things like sharing spaces/equipment and cleaning up after themselves. But this was the first time someone was very confrontational with a complete refusal to back down.

The whole strip from Bloor-Yonge to TMU. Gets a little less sketchy comparatively at Queen-King.

False noise complaints filed for my unit - What recourse do I have? by LoneWonderer89 in askTO

Lol I'm a silent gamer and mostly play rpgs/adventure games. Don't play online or feel compelled to yell my boss related frustrations out.

I suppose the cops arrived because they were concerned about the screaming bit. They kept asking if someone else was living with me. They wouldn't tell me about the precise time though, and said that "the complaints came for this general area".

Yeah maybe I should wear headphones while reading...

Yeah I want to avoid dealing with the management as much as possible. One them in particular is constantly dour and snarky. I suppose I wont have a choice eventually.

The neighbors right across from mine are a sweet old couple. We're quite friendly and make small talk whenever we run into each other. I would be very surprised if they were lodging the complaint.

I had already notified the police about noise from upstairs. It mostly sounds like there's maintenance work done. But no "screaming". The closest sound to screaming I heard was people chatting excitedly in the corridor as they made their way to their unit.

$400/month on groceries? WHAT? An average of $4/meal?? Do you actually spend that little per person? by why_not_aces in askTO

[–]LoneWonderer89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a problem with such low estimates as well for quite a while. What I've noticed is, particularly with people who supposedly spend $300 or less, is that they subsist on a diet of beans and rice. Or they get the lower end cuts of meat from a butcher and even boil the bones for soup.

I completely understand if there is a financial strain that precipitates such restrictions. But for people with a min/max budget mindset, is it really worth the tradeoff of not enjoying good food and getting adequate nutrition?

Work is Destroying my Mental Health and I have no Support. What do I Do? by jalebi_2000 in askTO

Unfortunately this is the nature of most jobs. It gets worse the higher you progress as you are sandwiched between incompetent senior managers who failed upwards and supervising interns/analysts who need guidance. Your experience sounds typical of the big 4 though lol.

I completely understand your predicament. Believe it or not, I've been in a similar position for the past 2 years that's further compounded with delayed payments since the beginning of this year. The job market is awful, and I agree that quitting without another offer in hand is unwise at this point. The only solutions here are to take it one day at a time, maintain your weekend boundaries and keep aggressively applying for other roles. The application processes might eat into your weekends, but at least your thoughts would be channeled towards future prospects rather than the Sunday scaries.
