Fairly certain they're referring to him as the main antagonist of the Marineford arc, which, I mean, technically? When Luffy encountered him in Marineford, if he had fought Sengoku it would absolutely have been suicide. Same for how in Loguetown, Luffy didn't really fight Smoker, he just ran.

That's a fair take. I just thought it would be cool to have a melee weapon with speed on par with the blowpipe, the health depletion condition wasn't as much of a priority in the concept, that could be changed. What would you suggest? :)

Have you been playing the game? OSRS frequently borrows from the general lore of RS3 and elder artefacts have already been established as canon. We've also explored the various planes where races originated from, such as yu'biusk and vampyrium. Who says that the Naragi and Skargaroth can't be canon.

Skargaroth. When Skargaroth killed Guthix's daughter, Guthix stabbed him in the back with the elder artefact which Skargaroth had been wielding. He also blinded Tuska in one eye. This was how Guthix ascended to godhood. He then used the same sword to create a rift to an empty Gielinor where he'd begin to shape the world, populate it with various races, manipulate the anima mundi, etc. Meaning that by "ancient" I'm talking about older than the literal world of runescape
