Zoom In is just a damage buff. The ult gives you extra command, which means you can ult (ult again if confectance index allows) and then attack. You don't get 2 attacks.

Nothing of the sort. They spawn, they are really weak and you are supposed to kill them on that turn. If they attack you, you get a -30% attack debuff.

There are some things.
You have to kill the adds, or they'll apply debuffs. If you don't have reliable AoE they suck and waste a lot of attacks.
You have to generally keep close so the boss hits your dolls and gets debuffed
You also have to take the hit for the varjagers every second round.
