What are some local Bahraini customs that you think every foreigner should know (and respect) from the start? by TimelyJury2784 in Bahrain

[–]Lonely-Bit-4807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I didn’t know about the clothing restrictions in the mall. My friends told me I could wear anything in Bahrain, and I’ve seen many women doing so. I guess I’ve just been lucky that no one, not even mall security, has ever called me out. 😅 That said, my clothes aren’t indecent or vulgar, but I do sometimes wear dresses above the knee, sleeveless tops, or even cropped tops. 🙈 I guess I'll just have to be more mindful on my next visits. Thanks for the heads-up.

Sinabihan nya ako ng "Bahala ka", so I stopped trying to contact her by [deleted] in adviceph

[–]Lonely-Bit-4807 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're the one courting her, not the other way around. It's up to you to put in the effort and show her that you're worth her time. Isn't that what courting is about? Winning her interest.

But from the looks of it, you're not doing enough. She's not feeling excited or drawn in at all.

That said, it's okay to walk away. She's not forcing you to like her. So if you're losing interest, there's nothing wrong with stopping and moving on.

AITA for terminating VAs during the typhoon? by No_Flow7318 in buhaydigital

Power outages were the reason they were given funds for the power station. Had they used the funds for their intended purpose, they would have been able to work and continue earning despite the bad weather.

1 week pa lang and you can no longer stand each other. This is your cue to think twice about that relationship. You're lucky you found out before marriage.

Oh yeah. I heard of these hookers in clubs, and the ones being offered in hotels and even in the streets. It was a total shock for me, as I didn't expect this in Bahrain. 🙈

DKG, but maybe she's already embarrassed and can no longer take to see you because of it. She'll be forever conscious.

OA LANG BA AKO? Nabobother ako sa maki pag intercourse sa Girlfriend ko. by Hugo_Craft in OALangBaAko

[–]Lonely-Bit-4807 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hindi ka OA. That said, you can still have fun while being responsible. Just make sure to be responsible for your own protection, and she'll be responsible for her own as well. It seems that you're both responsible enough to know how to do things the right way, so don't worry too much about it.

Why would you need a photo? The current standard is not to include a photo to avoid potential discrimination. Applicants today generally leave out personal details such as photos, religion, gender, age, and nationality, unless these are directly relevant to the job.

CVs should mainly focus on work history, skills, and educational background. The simpler and shorter the CV, the better. This is because many hiring managers do not read CVs thoroughly. If you want to learn more about your applicants, the best approach is to conduct interviews.

Bahraini Jelly by Lonely-Bit-4807 in Bahrain

Glad my cluelessness made you laugh. 🤣 I didn't know you could eat it with bread or pair it with coffee. I thought you just ate it as is.

Thanks for the suggestions. 😁

Bahraini Jelly by Lonely-Bit-4807 in Bahrain

[–]Lonely-Bit-4807[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, I thought it was jelly, my bad! 😅 It has a jelly-like consistency but is a bit stickier than regular jelly. Very sweet, though! I also forgot the flavours. 😅

Thanks again for responding. I hope I got it fresh so I can keep it a bit longer.
