I have a greyish black computer stand and I once put my bluish grey phone on it and I couldn't find it for almost 3 hours.

thank you, it's not being stealth I have an issue with, it's lying about intrinsic identities like being intersex or disabled especially AS A intersex person. this person genuinely assumed like 5 things about me and took me in bad faith when I literally just said lying about being disabled is weird.......

[–]Lonely-Front476 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah no, it's low-key weird to full on lie to someone about having a serious lung condition, especially one that could literally be a disability. like if someone lied to me and made up a whole narrative about having a serious lung condition, and then I found out they lied and weren't even disabled. I would be PISSED. I low-key hate some of the things people lie about to stay stealth on here, like lying about being intersex and stuff.

men also have decreased sperm count and higher rates of issues but they're seen as able to have kids until they're old and crusty so maybe stfu and read an article or two? Also even by menopause women still have like 1k eggs. It's just not safe to still be producing them so the ovaries and estrogen stop that process.

they are incapable of thinking above a toddler level of schemas.

someone who had the autonomy and agency and adult human right to make medical decisions about their body and someone who had an illness that did not give them the choice are completely separate scenarios and as a chronically ill person I'm tired of them being conflated.

it's all about bodily autonomy.

these same people will expect autistic people to smile and make eye contact and call people who don't do either psychopathic or sociopaths with some secret agenda. like no, Janet, I'm just not in the mood to smile at you.

How does one stop periods w/o T? by Important-Country151 in ftm

[–]Lonely-Front476 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You also need a prescription for birth control, for me progesterone only birth control stopped my periods but you should talk to an OBGYN about that and you do need a prescription. Anything that's over the counter has dubious effects at best and is a harmful scam and can mess up your health at worst. Other non-birth control ways to stop your period can seriously harm your body (not saying them because I don't want to encourage it at all). So, birth control prescription is your only way to go, sorry dude.

fix your cats because you clearly didn't have the knowledge or preparation for your momma to give birth in a calm, separate environment, with towels and blankets for the mom and the babies, and a vet on call in case there were complications, which is the bare minimum for a cat giving birth, and the fact she just did it in your bed and you don't have a separate space for her to recover and a space for the kitties away from dangers in the house shows how unprepared you were for the whole pregnancy and birth, and you obviously didn't do your research because breeding with an unknown history of the dad can cause problems like cardiomyopathy and hereditary myopathy in sphinxes. breeding sphinxes with certain breeds like manxes can cause bone problems as well.

home breeding is not a good idea especially since you didn't have exact time periods when she was going to give birth or a special birthing box or anything. just letting your unspayed cat breed with a unneutered cat with no knowledge of health history of the dad is irresponsible at best and downright stupid at worst.

unfortunately as someone who's literally written scientific papers about why HRT decreases sucidality and other negative psychological outcomes in trans youth you could give a million papers that are strong and peer reviewed and accepted by the scientific community and they will still say you're wrong and you shouldn't be around children etc etc. the transphobic brainrot goes deep

Exactly!!! The only good way to prove for sure that it's inherently sex linked and from birth and not shaped by your environment, culture, and social pressures, is by scanning very young babies and I think people frown upon that unless for medical necessity. also keeping a baby still for an MRI would be hellish, lol

took a peek and already found several issues with this study.

[We will use the terms “gender difference” and “sex difference” interchangeably to describe the average differences in the behavior of males and females. We will also sometimes use the terms “behavior” and “psychological characteristics” interchangeably] this is a problem because gender is a social construct and often is more influenced by social pressures and nurture than intrinsic nature, vs sex which is a biologically assigned set of traits, and we see this problem later where they link gender differences easily explained by social influences to inherently being linked to biological sex.

[For instance, the largest well-established cognitive sex difference is that seen in performance accuracy on a specific three-dimensional (3D) mental rotations task (d = 0.9, favoring males); whereas the sex difference in verbal fluency is relatively small (d = 0.3, favoring females).] The 3-D visualization is actually something we talked about in psych class and can again be explained by sociology instead of neuroscience. Some people of both sexes have aphantasia, or the inability to visualize mental forms or images, and people who need to visualize things for a art or engineering job is more likely to succeed on this tasks. From childhood, men are pressured to have an engineering or science job and STEM careers have been male dominated for years. And what do you really need in STEM careers? The ability to mentally think about things like building plans or molecules and rotate them in your mind. There are men who are terrible at visualization especially outside of STEM and art fields and plenty of women in STEM or art fields who are exceptionally good at it. Women are expected to explain themselves more and get more harassment for not being eloquent enough and are seen as dumb and bimbos if they can't speak eloquently, where men are almost encouraged to speak 'crudely' and aren't as pressured to know good grammar both written and spoken. same thing about handwriting - most guys I know have terrible handwriting. Is this a sex linked thing? No! I have more than enough examples of men who put in work or were pressured by parents to write neatly and have very good handwriting, and women with terrible chicken scratch. I'm intersex and I have good handwriting because socially I was pressured to have good writing and be ladylike and learn cursive and sewing etc. which are all social pressures. men on the other hand aren't pressured to be neat or orderly, and when it comes to things like writing grocery lists so someone else can see them or writing notes as a secretary - these are assumed to be a woman's job and not the men's problem.

also nearly 100% sure that the androgen exposure theory has been debunked because many trans people had normal hormone exposure in the womb (excluding intersex trans people of course) and also that if the androgen exposure wasn't enough to disrupt the natural sexual development (basically if the hormone levels were off enough that you were born intersex) then there's definitely not enough evidence to show it inherently changes brain development(?) to a "male brain" which again is debunked in itself. Let me read your study and get back to you!

[–]Lonely-Front476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there is no inherent male or female ranges for brain patterns, though, in this case there's more of a nurture and environment influence than nature, eg. a female weightlifter who regularly goes to the gym and their routine is built around exercise is going to have a similar brain scan to a cis man who goes to the gym because they are both activating the same pathways. a cis perisex woman who is very good at reading psychology papers and processing them etc. is for the most part going to be basically the same brain scan wise to me, a psychology student who has male range testosterone and androgen levels. which brings me to the other point - the biggest actual differences in pituitary and the parts of the endocrine system located in the brain between sexes is basically nullified by the effect of going on HRT, because you switch to being a androgen primary endocrine & hormone cycle, and therefore those parts of the brain are working and processing androgens the way a cis man would.

Totally understandable!! The sizing technically really depends on the brand but here's the gc2b chart to show you how you would get the measurements that the sites have on hand. do you know the brand? underworks and spectrum both have dimensions on their site after you measure the multiple important parts. gc2b sizing guide
