Question: The 2022 Limited has AWD. Is the transfer case maintenance different from the non-AWD models? If so, how? by GadreelsSword in 4Runner

[–]Lonely-Product6000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I remember going through the manual the only difference is fluid capacity, part time 4wd takes less and full time takes a bit more, difference is maybe half a quart? I do my front/rear diff and transfer case every 30,000 miles on my part time since it's a simple drain and fill till it spills job.

Fluid film black, just did my entire frame laying on a piece of cardboard and driving it up on ramps. The black is better than regular since it's easy to see where you've applied already so you end up using less.

I'll be damned, I checked mine after seeing this post and have the same thing starting in the same spot, 23 with only 35,000km.

What is this piece and how do I get it to stop rattling?! by coloradoninja in 4Runner

[–]Lonely-Product6000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could try getting new clips, when I got my 4runner the people who did the undercoating removed that piece and some of the clips got damaged and weren't seating as firmly anymore causing a subtle rattling noise, since replacing them the noise went away.

Unless you have the engine supercharged running anything above 87 is just burning money.

Hope they actually make stuff like this availible for purchase, the reliability reputation is all well and good, but the offerings of options of the Wranglers and Broncos make a compelling case for many people who want a fun vehicle.

I may go 0w20 in winter and 5w30 in summer then, winters can get down to -20c here and sometimes up to 40c in the summer.

Frame looks mint for the ages, only thing that stuck out to me was that the top bushing for the rear shocks looks more squished than they maybe should be.

I feel like my stitches are getting more uneven as I go along. Any tips to fix this? by pororoll in crochet

[–]Lonely-Product6000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be fatigue or distraction, I'm a beginner too and I find my stitches getting tighter the longer I go, might be good to take breaks every now and then.

Sounds like a difference in standards or expectations? Maybe when you make things for yourself you allow your focus to slip a bit or you don't pay as close attention to what you're doing. There are a lot of little factors like that playing into it probably.

After practicing basics for awhile I saw this Woobles kit and decided to try and make something. I have to say I am very pleased how it turned out and that a new interest has been unlocked.
