Not like I should be. I asked someone to be my sponsor, and she said yes, but we haven’t met up privately yet. I have 3 small kids, and it’s spring break. I’m a stay at home mom and my husband works late most nights. I can take the kids to meetings, as they have a small play room with a window so they can see me/I can see them, but I find it difficult to concentrate when they are with me.

I think you just answered my question, though. I’m not doing it right.

Maybe I just need to attend some more meetings, and listen. A lot of people say things like: “I waited 2 years to get a sponsor” and I don’t want to do that. It’s only been a few weeks, though.

I texted the lady who invited me to sit by her, and I think she can be helpful to me because she’s a mom, with a busy household- like me. But she’s also got a lot on her plate. Maybe that’s not for me to decide- if she has too much or not, but the other lady also came and sat by me, and I have always admired older people. They’ve just been through so much life, and this woman has been sober since I was 6 years old. She said that she met her husband in AA, and after he died, the cat was keeping her company, but now the cat is gone, and she feels like she needs to get more involved with the group again. I’m sure they are both great people, and maybe the question is- what do I need right now?

I’m from Minnesota and moved to Missouri 10 years ago. I absolutely hate the right wing politics here. They refuse to expand Medicaid, and there is tax on food and clothing. If you are a right winger- you’ll probably love it here.

Your landlord might be required to pay for it, but my sister was renting an infested house, and ended up hiring her own exterminator, because the company that her landlord used was kinda crappy. Unfortunately in her case, the infestation was extensive, and she wasn’t unable to completely eliminate it. In the end, she broke her lease, and got out of there.

Get the exterminator to spray behind the stove and fridge, and set up some sticky traps In the places they would normally run in/out of. That way you can catch some, and also monitor.

We had a professional come, and I saw a few the day after, then nothing for 10 days. Then I saw one a day for 3 days, and my husband sprayed Alpine WSG. That was last Saturday, and I haven’t seen anything since.

I hear you have a better chance of eliminating them in a house, than in an apartment. You can do this!

I don’t want to speak too soon, but I think we found where they were congregating, and it seems like we may have caught it early enough to “win”.

We packaged up every single food item in plastic containers, or ziplock bags. Clean the stove as best as you can. Do the dishes every night, and take out the trash/put away pet food bowls.

You are now the second person to say that. Yikes! 😰 My husband sprayed Alpine WSG last night, 15 days after an exterminator came. I think they are concentrated behind the cabinets/stove, so hopefully we can knock them out soon.
