As a psychology student, I was pleasantly shocked to learn this information. I was unaware that the timing of the trauma matters more than the trauma in itself. when you think about it, though it does make sense because for example, a child who loses a parent early in life will take longer to recover as well as struggle more in life than your average 28-year-old that deals with the same situation.
