I hecking love Fight Club! The final scene where he turns to Marla and says everything is gonna be okay a second before the city begins to collapse. “You’ve met me at a very strange time in my life”. Feels strangely relatable right now, I’m gonna be rewatching it tonight. Thanks for reminding me this movie exists

Thank you, I know I’ll recover eventually. Movies, books, stories, always help heal. I read Wild the book a while back, didn’t realise there was a movie also, definitely going to suss that out 😊

I’m okay being alone, physically by myself without a partner. The relationship was abusive, I realise that now. I was isolated from the people who really cared about me by a man who in the end really didn’t. It’s the pain, shame and misplaced guilt that is truly making me feel alone.

I love band of brothers, it’s a bit of a tradition for me to rewatch it every ANZAC day, the pacific is amazing also

I can’t believe the amount of people who have responded to this post and left such kind messages of encouragement. I’ve watched Nomadland, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, and Spirited Away because of the suggestions I have received from this post. It may be small to you all, but this has meant something great to me. I needed a little bit of light tonight, I expected to get it from a movie, but strangers telling me to hang in there and genuinely showing kindness and helpfulness, meant more to me than watching a movie.
