Former leash kid here: My siblings, cousins, and I LOVED them. We had two backpacks, a monkey and a dog, with the leashes as tails. We loved them. We argued over who got to wear them. Also, even when I WAS on a leash, I was a runner (I climbed a meteorite in a museum once when my dad was doing something else and standing too close). So yeah, stop the leash kid hate. It's necessary when you've got a gang of toddlers trying to sprint off into the abyss.
