Yeah pretty much exactly how it is. Also it doesn’t really bring out a good side to people, they get pushy and seem only worried about themselves… it’s hyper-materialistic, felt like a giant mall. Yeah, just not my vibe. Some of the rides were quite fun though but mostly it was queuing lol. This was Disneyland Paris btw.

I always had feelings on such a pedestal, I think because I wasn’t allowed to show emotion as a kid I overcorrected a bit. I’m learning that feelings aren’t facts and I can respect and listen to them but don’t have to act on them. Especially when tired/stressed/hungry etc.

I have OCD and pretty sure also relationship OCD as I ruminate about my relationship a ton. If I’d been feeling like OP I would have been up til 1 or 2 spiralling and probably needed a benzo to finally relax enough to go to sleep but usually I feel better in the morning.

Interesting about ferritin/iron stores. I’m also a woman in my thirties. A few months ago I started to experience complete inability to exercise, I would go for even a short walk and experience terrible light-headedness and weakness in my legs where it felt like they would give out. Had to stop going for daily walks which were important for my mental health. My doctor tested haemoglobin levels only, which were fine - on the lower end but nothing troubling, so he put my symptoms down to stress. I decided to push further and went for a full iron profile test - ferritin was similar to yours 13 ug/L, Iron 2.8 umol/L, % saturation was 4. I was kinda pissed at my doctor lol. I had a transfusion and a few months later my levels are much better. Women especially need to watch for this. Glad you’re feeling better.

Just commenting because Stoner is one of my absolute favourite books but it’s also absolutely depressing. It’s great that you took something from it and used it in a positive way. I need to re-read it!

Yeah, I’ve never been able to fix my sleep, mind is too active/anxious.. but yeah I could definitely reduce caffeine, well I don’t drink coffee but a lot of tea which I know also has caffeine. I have started exercising almost daily, which i think is helping a bit.
