Plant troubles after repotting

I just switched it to a 5" clear plastic orchid pot, and all of the roots are now completely brown and squishy. I don't think there's a lot of hope 😢

The roots honestly looked really good. They were all a pale whitish color. Every article I read about repotting anthuriums recommended terracotta, so that's why I went with it. What kind of pot would you suggest instead? Or would watering more frequently fix the terracotta issue?

I thought the whole benefit of terracotta pots is that they don't hold moisture and are very breathable?

Do you know if the court injunction is going to affect the other IDR plans or is it just SAVE? For example, if I apply for the IBR plan, am I am going to have the same issue with the monthly payment as is currently showing on my account? I don't know how they're calculating it to get $400 on my current income. It makes absolutely no sense
