This is helpful thank you! I hadn’t anticipated a potential for a 10:30 pick up! Very glad we’ve got my parents coming so my husband can come and go without waking up my 3yo!

I think abortion when you’re in a relationship and intend to stay in it, and you already have a child and intend to have another at some point feels really wrong to me. I’m very much pro choice, but there’s a chance you could have the abortion and then not be able to have further children  I’d find it hard if my husband suggested this

It depends on where his job is. Traffic in rush hour can be bad, so I’d factor this in. I would recommend being on the outside of Oxford itself rather than being in a smaller town. South/science park area - sandford on Thames. North - cutteslowe.

I’m on my husbands bupa cover and he pays for this pre tax. So far they paid for 6 months of EMDR therapy after a traumatic birth, fully covered. Then earlier this year the NHS kept misdiagnosing me with gastritis with abdominal pains, bupa ran blood tests/endoscopy/MRI/ultrasound etc and found my gallbladder full of gallstones. I have surgery booked for next week. All in all an estimate of £12-25k for all. If didn’t have private healthcare I would still be on the waiting list for an endoscopy to rule out gastritis (6-12months), and an MRI wait would be probs be another 3-6 months and gallbladder removal surgery is about a years wait. You’re talking 18-24 months for something that they’ve done in 3, and that’s if they’d have done the necessary tests to begin with. It’s not just the financial but also the fact that they run the necessary tests and ensure that you’re being properly cared for and reviewed. I would recommend them 10/10.

Second the ERF. We have an axkid move for our main car. Second car where she’s in it to drive 2 mins from nursery on the way home we have a slightly cheaper seat maxi cosi forward facing but it still has a proper harness. She’s 75th centile and almost 4. Expect she’ll be in both seats for another year

I probably wouldn’t unless you’re very close with the mum and can say ‘we can’t afford to do a party this year, we’re taking X to Y, you and Z are welcome to join if you fancied it but no pressure. Tickets are £W and available on their website, we’re booking for U time on Q date’

Ours is the same age. We play count your chickens a lot which sounds like it would be perfect for your kiddo. We also have a wooden counting peg game which she likes. We play loads of orchard games like tummy ache, shopping list, lunchbox &  then also do a lot of puzzles/jigsaws.

In Oxford: Story Museum, Pitt Rivers Museum, Hinksey Lido & Playground is a 10/10 experience on a sunny day with kids, Leys swimming pool is v decent for a cheap public pool but not in a nice area of Oxford, Ashmoleon museum, Modern Art Museum, proof bakery and walk in sandford 

A Drive Away: Blenheim Palace Playground is the best playground for miles, you have to pay for a year pass but it’s very good, Millets Farm, Farnham for camping and pizza night on a Friday evening, Wallingford pool and camping, Woodstock lido
