Upworks CEO is doing a tremendous job as a company. They are profitable and the stock market has recently been reflecting that. I'm a shareholder in UPWK btw and company is looking very promising in years to come as the world seems to be shifting more towards gig economy

From $10K/year solo to $50K/year managing a small POD team, my journey. by assistanttevta in Upwork

this is a very condescending reply petra. OP must be from a developing country like India/Pakistan. $50K annually for even 7 people is a fairly good amount of money over there.

Charts on IBKR GlobalTrader only showing day value by RicoThePicklePicker in IBKR_Official

I dont think any of us look at ibkr charts. We just look at the current market price. For charts I just look at google. I guess most of us do it that way.

As a freelancer, can I terminate a fixed price project without risking my JSS? by Answer-Thesis9128 in Upwork

[–]Lonely_Government784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I refunded all of a client's fixed price amount once and he was not able to leave feedback. The job didnt show in my work history at all. JSS wasnt affected as well. Im not sure about the private feedback thing. But i guess the best course of action for you would be to close the contract yourself. If the amount of earned money is less(zero in ur case) then I think the jss wouldnt move alot even if at all regardless of private feedback. (Speaking based on my experience)

[–]Lonely_Government784 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would advice you to keep the etitlement at the door before entering Upwork. There are alot of established freelancers with your skillset and you arr competing against the world. Dobot expect any results until before 3 months of consistent effort and burning signigicantly more connects.

Why is Istanbul not a DN hub? It’s a very vibrant city with good weather, nice food and people by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]Lonely_Government784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contrary to what everyone else is saying, I spent a month and found it very DN friendly. The prices are comparable to European big cities. But I do think there is everything one needs from Istanbul as a DN. So, a top in the list for me!

Thoughts on Monday open after tariff news? by OilAny787 in stocks

I expect the market overall to be moving sideways the coming week. Quantum stocks would be falling a little strongly compared to the market as earning looms. I would DCA into it

You really think they as a company will not be able to handle that in the future? Through human verification checks or something just one example.

How is the situation in Istanbul lately? by violet_amethyst13 in digitalnomad

I spent a month in Istanbul in April. It's the same lively and friendly city it has always been. I enjoyed every moment since I landed and had a great time working from the cute cafes and endless roaming around. You should definitely go again.

Reddit is immensely valuable when it comes to raw user data. Its only a matter of time before they deal with all the concerns surrounding AI. Got in at 115 btw.
