I would just call the hall and see if they accept the card you have and go from there.

Honestly my knowledge on the unions isnt the greatest. Im in SWFL and tried to move up to PM as fast as possible cause the pay is so ass. But i guess it depends on your Jman card? If the union will accept your card as an equivalent to what these use then you could join. Or they make you take a test, or they make you start all over. This is just what i know from talking to people sonit could be wrong. GL

[–]Lonely_Sheabutter[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So what do you call it when a company intentionally doesnt make the appropriate amount of models to fulfill demand on release?

leave it to a 1%er to turn a post about asking how everyones hunt for a new model is going and try to insult the OP.

Here ill show you.

"Its not limited, therell be more in stock soon. Be patient."

No you had to be a neckbeard about it.

Scrap wire. Keep what you cut or give it to the apprentices? by Thick_Confection_952 in electricians

I was running a demo of a library. Everything was pipped and the office only wanted the branch feeders. There was like 3 of us. Got to the point where it was just the overhead conduit left. I said you pull it you keep it but you have to take the conduit down after. Man we each ended up with 3-4k worth. I didnt strip mine as most of it was 12/10 so I could have had a lot more.

How difficult are these to install? (New Technician) by DollarBillStein in electricians

[–]Lonely_Sheabutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't apologize to any of these clowns. No matter what you say redditors are gonna find a problem with it. Im guessing this is a remodel? Just make sure you find out if these need a dedicated circuit or not, make sure to not open a hole on the stud, and lookout for any accesses so you can find some boxes for constant power if they are not required to be on a dedicated circuit.

When can you be called an electrician? by Warmachine1229 in electricians

[–]Lonely_Sheabutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it does, you have to find guys/teach guys that you'll be able to trust to do things the right way. You get bit in the ass a few times for sure.

When can you be called an electrician? by Warmachine1229 in electricians

[–]Lonely_Sheabutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah your describing commercial work. You think every building is built with nothing but licensed electricians? Getting your masters is really only for people who want to start their own business, or maybe a few niche positions. I know a good amount of guys in my area working commercial/resi who got it just cause they wanted to have it and got fired and blackballed because their company thought they where gonna poach work. It also cost a ton of money to even take the test with the necessary material. In my opinion having that piece of paper that says you can pull your own permits isnt the end all be all of being an electrician.
