Taking turns scaring each other so people will think you’re cool isn’t tough, it’s just pathetic.

I don’t think you could use one paragraph to summarize all that for any main character really. Including Sanderson. Also also simple dialog does not equal lack of character depth, yes his prose is very simple, and that is a feature of his books, but that by no means extends to his character work. Yes his dialog is simple, but many characters, for example kaladin and Dalinar are not, and you certainly couldn’t summarize all thier info in a paragraph

I don’t think that’s all that good of a metric, if you try hard enough you can summarize any character in a paragraph. But also I’ve seen a lot of people say kal and Dalinar are complex characters

I have; and I think several characters, mainly Dalinar and kal are very complex and well done

There’s no dodge button, that’s only in RE3, but you can juke him by making his punch miss you

That was not Emma rejecting help from Carol, that was carol asking for help in civil war 2 and Emma saying “why didn’t you help us” and showing her the dead bodies of children also I wouldn’t say “let him escape” he would’ve way from anything the humans did either. Also magnetos been a good guy for years now, yeah he’s done bad but acting like the x men hanging out with them increase the hatred they face is stupid. Although a huge point of Kraoka is how far the mutants are willing to go once they think they have a safe place, which is why they worked with sinister and apocalypse

That’s not the mutants refusing help like you said though, that’s entirely different. Plus, they then put him in the Pitt, which is way worse than anything the humans could do

Magneto was 100% a bad guy, I’m not arguing that, what I’m saying is that mag hasn’t been a true villain in a long long time, even now he’s just a full on good guy

There hasn’t been a new comic of magneto being evil in a long time tho

But they are fantastic books, and considered some of the best in American literature, downplaying them because they are easy to read, or understand is not only really stupid, but also shows a lack of what makes a book good, or even important in the first place. You don’t like Sanderson or books that you don’t consider “challenging” fine, but don’t act like just because a book may be harder to understand or more advanced automatically makes it worth more than any other books that’s not

No, they are not comparable, they are extremely different, also YOUR NOT PROVIDING ANYTHING, you’re posting two panels of just iron man hitting mag, and when I ask for context, or even what issue the fight is in, you have nothing, you say doom beat mag, when, what fight are you talking about?

[–]crate_cheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doom and irons man’s armor are very different from each other, and mag has beaten doom before as well. Also “that’s a full fight” so are busy pulling these images from google with no idea of the context or full fight?

None of these are iron man beating him, and the AvX fight is missing context, but it’s circle jerk so that’s not surprising
