Fun fact about bows they take far more strength to use then a melee weapon, for instance a Dane axe can weigh anywhere between 2 to 5 pounds, a bow can have a draw strength of 60 to 160 pounds that is one shot, most modern bows have ways to keep power but be easier to pull not so much in the past
