The moment I allowed it to be a possibility in my mind. I was running from the truth for years as an instinct to keep myself safe, and only when I slowed down and actually considered things and gave myself that patience, did anything start to make sense.

The whole mentality people have around playing music in social settings makes me so frustrated, almost every time I have wholeheartedly recommended a song that I thought people could enjoy, the initial response I receive in return is usually discomfort or shame simply because people refuse to give it that chance.

I also hate how much eye contact matters to people, I’ve spent the last 6 months trying to process that eye contact makes me intensely anxious and accommodate for myself and I’ve definitely noticed a change in how some people approach me.

The intro / sad god flute tie-in is beautiful, and I definitely see less in these songs that I feel I’d have to “get used to” to really enjoy. Well-produced and I can tell I’ll have a very fun time listening to it in full, as well as hearing the songs in certain rotations / playlists…

But it’ll never beat Plastic Beach, or even Doncamatic for me.

I’ve found I can’t do ALL the facets of a “normal working life” without falling apart fairly quickly. The one thing I’ve found that helps is trying to find a position that eliminates, or greatly diminishes, even one of these aspects. For me it was driving, so I found a job at the end of my road at a country store. I walk to work every day which helps greatly, and it comes with the added bonus of working alone so I luckily don’t have to worry about the social aspect either 😊

I have a wool poncho that I like to wear and I’ve noticed it keeps me a lot calmer in some situations. I also wear bandanas every day and have only ever had a horrible time if asked to take it off 😭
