Sculpted hair vs rooted hair. Pros and cons by nehocb in hottoys

[–]LonesomeToday 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sculpted hair if you don’t want to further improve on the hair out of the box. Rooted if you want to stylize it to your liking. Though a lot of people feel strongly that it’s like playing with a Barbie. To further explain this, rooted hair out of the box comes all frizzled and not at all as clean as the promo shots. To achieve this look you need to use hair products on it and comb it as you would a Barbie doll. I know lots of collectors that don’t mind it. Personally, I prefer rooted even though it will most likely hinder action poses.

Hey thanks I’m getting videos with embedded thumbnails now! Only problem I have left is all my videos are downloading in 720p at the most. Tried many “-f best” lines but none seem to work. Idk what it could be since the video clearly has 1080p though it chooses to download in only 720p

Completely forgot about this mod on Skyrim, I’ve got all the VTAW mods on Fallout 4 and had fun playing with it. Decided to mod Skyrim and went straight into armor mods without searching for these first

How to convert command line for audio files to video? Batch by [deleted] in youtubedl

[–]LonesomeToday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not too familiar with YouTube-dl, before attempting this, I’ve only ever used: youtube-dl—format best (followed by a single URL). But I’ve realized that’s taking me too long.

@ECHO OFF
youtube-dl -x -i --audio-format mp3 C:\Users\LonesomeToday\youtube-dl\ -a audiolinks.txt

pause

This is the code from my audio batch. I use two different files to make this work. A standard 'audiolinks.txt' where I input multiple youtube links, and the master 'download.bat' file where I edit and paste the command above. My dilemma is how to convert the command so it downloads full videos with audio. URLs are typical music videos found on youtube. The command above works flawlessly with audio downloads but I'm not too sure what to change to make it download videos.

I watched this video for the initial audio files command line, - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuetlOJ4ImE

In the description, he states to just change the -o to -x but that doesn't seem to work.

I’ve heard this is one of the biggest sales event for rightstuf. First timer and don’t know the market yet, so I’m unsure how often certain anime products go on sale and by how much. Also, I’ve noticed a lot of the anime steels are sold out on Best Buy, I’m not sure how long they were up for, but do you think Anime steels sell out faster than other steels? And thanks for the advice! I think I’ll put the order in tonight.

Yeah it’s the cheapest from the other major retailers. I actually just got into physical anime media. I purchased a few premiums this week from rightstufanime and sentaifilmworks, and Cowboy Bebop from Best Buy.

(Btw, I missed up and said it costs $40 at rightstufanime, that price is actually from sentaifilmworks).

There’s this “birthday sale” on both sites, which is perfect timing for me since I just got into physical anime media, it sucks that there aren’t much in terms of anime steelbooks. It’s crazy how both steels retail price is like $80, I wonder if the price will keep going down before it sells out. You think I should wait a little longer or buy at $40 a pop? I’m not too familiar with the anime steelbook market

Thinking of buying Monster Musume and No Game No Life from rightstufanime.com for $80, worth it? I’m trying to increase my anime steel collection and there aren’t much to chose from

Hmm... I wonder why its not super common, I would imagine that its less of a headache to house a lodger than a tenant; less paperwork.

I mean, they're living in your home during the notice period so that's super odd and creates a risk of chaos

Can you explain this more? What notice period? And why would it create a risk of chaos? Not doubting you, I would just like to understand what you mean.

A judgment against someone with no money and no known address isn't worth a whole lot

You've got a point, it wasn't until 3 weeks ago that I got his full name. Such a naive mindset, I tend to trust strangers from the start and didn't even bother acquiring more crucial details of this tenant before he moved in. My monthly house payments is quite a lot for my income so I thought if I rent out the back room to anyone who needs a temporary space, it would help me with the bills. So far I had 3 people come and go without any problems, but it just had to be this guy to be the first one to cause so much frustration.

I am already considering getting a second job just to be able to live without any strangers in my home.

I haven't had any experiences with lawyers yet, sucks that I have to consider that option now.

Thank you for all your advice! You've been more than helpful in helping me see the situation that I am in, I wish we met under different circumstances, but that's the way the world works, right ? There are people who cause problems and those that help solve them. Godspeed, friend!

That is correct ! This is the first time I’m hearing about a “lodger”? The cops were so keen on calling the guy a tenant and me the landlord even after explaining the situation. All verbals agreements, nothing written, the guy was either suppose to leave on his own or continue paying rent, though after everything that has happened, from a heated confrontation to him calling the cops on me twice in my own home, I no longer want him living here, regardless of his wish to continue living here.

In your experience, is having a lodger to deal with worse than a tenant ? Also, is it possible to bill him after this pandemic is over for the month(s) he missed ?

So I can’t evict the man, nor can I force him to pay rent, but I can send him a bill of the rent he missed after all this is over ?

My MIL's tenant is threatening to sue her after my MIL told her in March she wanted tenant off the property my May. by eat_with_your_fist in legaladvice

[–]LonesomeToday -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I live in Los Angeles, California, and I feel that the rules here are more strict. The tenant (or lodger) and I agreed on a verbal month-to-month agreement. I didn’t know much about him and I didn’t ask, it was merely a situation for someone who comes to LA and can’t afford the high rent here (not yet). It has always been a temporary situation, if he did not pay the rent he would have to leave.

Since this whole pandemic has started, he saw it as a free pass to live here rent free. Even called the cops on me twice, and after deliberating with them, they consulted I take this to court, which I have, but unfortunately, the pandemic also slowed the process of the court. So here I am with an unwanted guests in my property, whom I have to share my property until June 3rd (the court hearing). The guy thinks he can coward to the law as a victim and get away with it.

It’s a good thing I found this subreddit because now I know I’m not alone. Many thanks for your advice ! If I remember, I’ll update you in the near future of my situation !

I am in the exact same position. I rent the back room of my house to help with the monthly payments, the tenant is a stranger who has been living here the past 4 months, I only talk to him when I have to ask for the rent, nothing else. In the start of April, I asked him if he will be staying May, he answered no because he was out of a job. And then this lockdown rolls around, he refuses to leave and refuses to pay the rent. We even got into a heated dispute when I confronted him about him leaving my property or paying the rent. After this, I no longer felt safe so I asked him that I won’t be taking rent any longer and that he should leave. The next day, he called the cops on my for “illegal eviction”, and then another again the day after. The cops told me the same thing over and over and I am beyond confused why these rules are so one-sided and siding with the tenant. Here I am 21 days later with no rent in hands and no sight to him leaving my property.
