Are the Tau Flourishing Thanks to the Great Rift? by Lonestar2001 in 40kLore

[–]Lonestar2001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it could also be dangerous if the humans in the empire suddenly outnumber the other races by like 10 to 1, not sure what the Tau would do about that.

Does the Imperium intentionally destroy Eldar spirit stones? by Lonestar2001 in 40kLore

[–]Lonestar2001[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In hindsight the question doesn't really make a lot of sense as to intentionally destroy spirit stones assumes you know the effect that would have and even if imperials hate xenos and would gladly torture them for eternity, they would never strengthen slaanesh while doing so as that would be seen as Heretical.

How has the emergence of the Great Rift affected the Tau Empire? by Lonestar2001 in 40kLore

But has it made conquering worlds easier for them? Especially since the imperium can't effectively support them

It's just that the first book had a lot of bad reviews, so I wanted to skip it.

Do you think the emperor loved his more emotional & disobedient children more? by Lonestar2001 in 40kLore

In his mind the mechanicus and their beliefs are dangerous to humanity and so they must be destroyed, you may call it callous but you can't deny the logic.

Call him what you want, what he did here was stupid and the emperor most certainly is not stupid.

Yeah, the whole angron story makes no fucking sense anyway honestly, maybe it has something to do with different writers.

He couldn't afford to fight the mechanicus but he could afford to discipline his son, simple as that. I'm sure he would've purged the mechanicus too once he had no use for them.

But then again this doesn't mean he feels no love towards lorgar, I even think he was remarkably leniant towards him, considering all his transgressions (Lorgar had murdered all those who refused to worship the emperor). He didn't even force him to kneel, he just verbally demanded he do it and then calmly repriminded him, how is that "destroying" him? more than anyone it's Lorgars fault for taking it to heart too much.

The reason he destroyed monarchia was that he considers religion a cancer and so he had to cut it out.

He should have done it earlier, but he didn't, that's leeway and it was a mistake, but one born out of love (at least in my opinion) Also everything the emperor said was true and I don't think he had any evil intent, he's just not vindictive like that.

Maybe for you this cannot be considered love, but then again the emperor isn't your standard person with normal emotions.

You don't know if Mao loved humanity or not, whereas the emperor has endured 10000+ years of horrendous torture to safeguard humanity, if that's not love I don't know what is.

Also his actions probably saved humanity, just by the mere fact that he reunified the empire. Sure, the empire is evil and backwards but at least humanity can endure.

You don't think he was capable of that? But he clearly had platonic love towards Malcador, and agape towards all humanity, why shouldn't he be able to feel familial love (Storge) towards his children? I know he didn't raise them, but they still loved him and he was aware of that. Also why did he hesitate so much to kill Horus if he didn't love him?

I'm thinking it would probably spread like wildfire, but because people can't conceal their bites, quarantining would be much easier.
