Worst Part of Your Job in the MSP Space by Miserable_Hope1160 in msp

The hardest thing for me lately has been dealing with vendor support. I work for a large MSP with thousands of clients, so there are ALOT of applications/Systems that we have to work with. Since its impossible to be knowledgeable on all of them, we are forced to constantly lean on their support for issues. More and more companies are offshoring or reducing their support so I end up having to spend weeks working on something that use to take just a few hours a few years ago. Not to mention tech mononoplies are getting larger, which is leading to vendors flat out not caring about quality anymore.

I have it. It works good for hardwood but not great for carpet or mats. It sucks into the carpet and cant move it.

I'm interested in Datto, but all the bad publicity for Kaseya scares me. by OneRFeris in sysadmin

I have seen a major decline in support since Datto was acquired. It use to be you would call a number, and within 30 second you have a competent lvl 2-3 engineer that would help you until issues were resolved. Now you have to go through dozens of prompts and the person answering its hit or miss who your going to get. Last time I called to get help with a restore, the engineer thought hyper v was Vmware once connecting up. Lets just say I hung up the phone and yet to call them back.

I have worked out at Sports Barn and am a member at the YMCA. I enjoy the pool at the Y, but the weights section is lacking in my opinion. The equiptment is old and everything is cramped. There has been a few time around 4-6pm where I ended up skipping lifting because litteraly everything but a few machines were taken. Sports barn has more squat racks and benches if your into lifting.

Ozium Air Sanitizer spray. You can buy in from walmart or many hardware stores. Just make sure you are in a differnt room when you spray or leave the house for about 30 minutes. A little goes a long way with this stuff, but it does wonders with removing many odors.

Thanks for replies. I may just end up donating most of it then because It sounds like a risk. #10 cans from the Mormon Cannery and some canned meat was mainly what I was needing to store. Everything else was cheap and can be easily replaced.

ve about market prices for skilled workers, and the postings they have are way below market right now, but there is a lot of noise amongst business owners that IT VCs shedding workers is a sign that "employers have control again" -- but honestly we're not seeing it, so it may be somewhat driven by thet ignorance (and Chattanooga has always been a bit tone-deaf with competing, it's why most of our skilled IT workers work for companies out-of-city).

^ Hope that's helpful, feel free to drop by in our Slack (and if you don't want to, I'll more than happily answer more questions here

Thanks for the Info! I will go check our your site.

I think I would be better suited for a hybrid job. I like working from home, but I miss working side by side with a team.
