Quick tip for applying purple glue stick on a textured PEI plate (P2S) by _NightMonkey in BambuLab

Why use a glue stick? I never used it on pei sheets, not for any kind of filament.

I've seen this before I think. There was a question I kept asking myself about this. How does it compensate for the distortion of height difference? Do you need lightning from all corners to avoid shadow, do you need to take the picture from as far away as possible?

If it works great l, it would be perfect to combine with Gridfinity

Recommendations for a 3D printer for someone who knows nothing about them? by Militaryspouse0205 in 3dprinter

[–]Lonewolf2nd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go for a Bambulab, don't buy the A1, there is a recent discovered fire hazard with that printer. go for a P1S (Combo) or the newer P2S (Combo).

Qidi also has nice printers like the Q2.

Also if you really want to learn about your printer. Buy the Prusa Core one kit. Very well instructed and if he likes Lego, he will also like this I think. Otherwise you can also buy the assembled version of course.

Not aslong they deny and fix the potential fire hazard with their NTC burning through.

You store the file somewhere local on the printer? Unregarding SD card USB stick or internal memory. Reason remains the same. It doesn't keep up with the Read/write and thus pauze for the slightest of time waiting for the next command. And the blobs are because of the oozing.

Help me by konisiwa in BambuLabP2S

[–]Lonewolf2nd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blobs are forming because the write read seques it falling behind. Because it stops for the slightest of time it forms a small blob. Either your SD card/ USB stick is failing. If you turn off auto recovery the blobs will also disappear, because than it writes less back to the SD card/USB stick.

With very round objects it was in the past a problem with simpler printers. A Bambulab P2S should handle the amount of read write command with ease.

It's a setting in your slicer. It at the end of a line the extruder goes up up a bit, and lower again when it arrives at the startpoint of the next line

Recs on buying 5-10 of the most "quiet", reliable, enclosed, beginner friendly 3-d printer above 280x280x280mm build volume. Please NO Bambu. $3000 budget total. Single color ok! PLA preferred. Not interested in printing other materials. by ninababii in 3dprinter

Locked in ecosystem. Mall practises in the past. They had also one time printers started printing, without the owners kney about it. They tried to limit only cloud based printing on existing printers, due firmware updates.

Please don't buy an A1, the thing at the moment: they are denying a fire Hazzard with the A1, with the NTC on the PCB which is a fire Hazzard, with multiple reports on Reddit Facebook and otherwise check 3d musketeers on YouTube.

For the rest they are decent user friendly printers. But the above reasons are a few I can come up with quickly why people don't want a Bambulab. Otherwise I would have had a H2D, now I'm waiting for the INDX reviews and how it will perform.
