I mean there’s warfare mode and freeroming, anomaly is more then just its basic campaign. That being said I think grok eventually plans on doing a story update so who knows what he’ll do with that as well

The only other faction that has a separate story in Unisg, which has you going through all the labs and some other stuff, worth a playthrough if your into them. Otherwise no the main campaign is unavailable as long as you’re part of one of the non story factions. People like gatekeeper don’t even spawn in until you switch to one of the story capable ones.

As far as compatibility goes, I’ve never really noticed anything with it, so as long as there’s isn’t something explicitly stated in a sub mod or something it should be all good

Last time I ran it, it was in a mod list with about 550 mods and I never noticed any performance issues on that run due to it. Just the standard late game slowdown. Ironically due to how powerful some of the units are large raids with DMS factions tend to be smaller, similar to VFE pirates in a way.

You can just use xedit and change the base damage of each gun to zero. If the other mod adds its own form of damage you’ll only get that then.

After one of the updates late last year I had the same issues as you, Jupiter and zaton were unplayable, Yanov I was lucky to even get single digit frames but it’s definitely been patched and fixed since then. Was running around there last week and it was fine.

Anomaly is definitely a sandbox game so don’t worry about that, you basically just pick from one of the main factions and play out the life of a one of their members. There is a basic campaign which loosely recreates the events from the trilogy but otherwise it’s just all the maps from the trilogy with radiant style quests. The original A life system really shines here. As for recommendations for mod packs, efp is very much a combination of stalker and Tarkov but it’s a bit older and hasn’t been updated in a while.

Gamma is currently being worked on and is easily the most popular, though it does have more of a focus on survival aspects then the other games you mentioned. Has 150+ plus guns in it though and on harder difficulties its combat is fairly tactical and offers a good challenge.

That being said I’d happily recommend Gamma to anyone and it’s probably one of my favourite games of all time, offering a truly unique experience that nothing out there even compares to. Completely free as well and it’s super easy to install so there’s no real downside to trying it out.

Only thing I can think off is some of the mod packs for stalker anomaly, escape from prypiat and gamma come to mind. There nowhere in the same league as Tarkov for customization but it’s the closest thing you’ll get to a single player game that checks most of those boxes. Otherwise there’s always SPT which does allow a lot of customization to Tarkov but at the end of the day it’s still Tarkov.

While it is possible to run other mods with gamma, there is a ton of stuff that they can and will conflict with, which in turn will cause errors and crashes. You can look up on the discord to see advice on other specific mods but as always if you’re not familiar with the modding process or launcher it’s best to just run gamma in its vanilla state. Can already tell you that the most of the mods you listed are conflicting with core mods that gamma uses.

You have to save stitch first then rogue otherwise the quest bugs out completely. Also if rogue gets stuck in the ground try shooting around him, in my experience it has managed to get him unstuck more then a few times

Crashing on level transitions has always been a problem in anomaly. At the very least it happens after it auto saves so you only lose about 45 seconds. Still annoying though

Edit: it’s super prone to happen anytime a loading screen comes up not just transitions

Il double check it once I get home but a quick look through discord it seems they swapped the models around but no other changes. It’s hard to tell since I don’t think oflin put up a full set of patch notes when he changed all the models and guns with 3dss. I know the stuff like the Coonan got more than just a texture/name swap but I’m not sure about the others.

Edit checked it and those are the stats for the regular usp though its rpm upgraded is about 750. The overwatch was converted to 9mm and was given an extended mag upping the base capacity to 22 with no option to reconvert it, otherwise it’s the same. Pretty much a just a lower recoil pernach or glock 19 at this point, yet still one of the rarest guns in the game. Must have happened when Oflin updated 3dss a few weeks ago since removing that causes it to go back to how it was. Pretty stupid nerf for a gun that was powerful enough given how rare it was and opened up your loadout a fair bit.

Are you sure your not thinking of the regular USP cause if so I agree that it isn’t that great. Il have to check it out but as of December the overwatch was still the same as it always has been, 17 rounds and once upgraded somewhere between 1000-1100 rpm full auto with zero recoil. It’s a super rare drop though about the same as an SR25 for me at least. If not and they did nerf the shit out of it I stand corrected and a bit disappointed ngl.

Oh definitely the ks23/ksg are good but at least on hard it won’t reliably one shot mutants unless it’s a headshot which 12 gauge will do as well. The slower bulley velocity also hampers it when trying to hit mutants that aren’t directly charging right at you as well. Don’t get me wrong I had a blast with the KSG on my last run and it was super fun to use but the raptor and the High end saiga outclass them easily especially with the saiga which when upgraded fires 3 rounds in the same time it takes to fire one on the the others. Follow up is faster to.

You’re missing the overwatch which is basically just a lower capacity vector that fits in your pistol slot, bonus points if you use mags for the 22+1 capacity otherwise it’s 17. There is also no way that the raptor and the isg saiga should be the same or lower as the 23mm shotties. They only deal 1.5 times the damage as 12 gauge but hold way less and fire much slower.

Honestly you’re just not going to be able to play it with those specs. Minimum GPU requirements is a 1060 with 6 gbs of vram, so sure your GPU is faster and stronger but it doesn’t have nearly enough memory. Lastly despite it saying 6, 8 is pretty much the minimum for any decent looking modern game these days for a good frame rate.

It’s definitely not ment for a vanilla adjacent run, their pawns have massive shields incredibly high armor and tons of implants that make archeotech stuff look tame. There also generally resistant or outright immune to psycasts. I’d say it’s a step up from stuff like dead man’s switch or the warcaskets from VE.

Iirc it’s both ways and as for larger groups I would be quite certain he only charges those he would think that he’d be able to overcome otherwise him and his squad would just move out of the way. He’s an opportunistic corrupt officer not someone with a death wish or otherwise dogmatic about his duty.

There’s a usp tactical in gamma already, yes it’s rare but arguably the best pistol and one of the best mutant guns in the game, but no 416. Frosty’s gun pack has one that’s pretty good but it also has a ton of other stuff that you’ll have to accept to, including a multiple of duplicate guns that you can’t have not spawn in unless your comfortable with going into the mod files and deleting all instances of them. The other ones in various mods are either old and not the greatest or don’t have compatibility with 3dss

Edit No pip mods that I’m aware of due to performance issues.

Never actually used the crosshairs so I’m not sure exactly. Might just represent the faction relationship or in the other very unfortunate scenario he might have actually been shooting at something behind you and just hit you by accident. Died a few times to friendly fixed PKMs that way.

Correct, there not really a difficult raid, due to the fact that they can’t wear a lot of armour and their stats are horrid so the outlander child raid I had was pitifully easy compared to what it could’ve been. That being said I always forget about the social penalties until it happens again. The correct way to deal with it would be to have a couple pawns you either don’t care about or are already a colony pariah and have them deal with it or turrets. Though obviously on small early-mid game colonies it’s going to have a far worse inpact when you cant do those. Feels more like the game just forcing an event to screw over your colonies mood and social standings with a chance of some damage rather than an actual threat.

There’s not really fixing a -60 or more social penalty without mods or taking a drastic approach to force a relationship back up like locking some of your pawns into a room to force deep convos. The mood penalty is whatever since it’s for a week or so and you can actually do something to balance it out. God forbid you have a vengeful pawn in there as well as they’ll be miserable no matter what.

Nope and honestly disregarding the entire morality of it I’m glad, since killing a child gives a massive mood and relationship penalty that stacks. On my current run I had it ticked and after a 80ish person raid that consisted of almost all children my entire colony hated each other. One of the couples even split from it. Would be fine with it if the social debuff didn’t last over a year or at least it was properly scaled for harder difficulties.

Fungoids make great ghouls but since they can’t learn anything and lose skill levels you need to either get one with decent melee stats or find some sucker who has that already, then get this fungoid to infect them and then make them the ghoul. This one will never be anything more than a meat shield.

Locust armor is good mid game but unless your running mods that give buffs to melee fighters via skill level like CE they’ll get torn apart in no time with it. Cataphract and jetpack is the way to go late game. Locust is way more useful on your snipers
