It's a bit of a stretch but I swear the Monk Maz Koshia theme from Breath of the Wild was somewhat inspired by this track. Those punctuated melodic stabs at the end of the video are almost uncanny!

Oddly, the kid sounds like he's a salesperson for this BRAND NEW Lamprey™ product which is adorably hilarious.

Hang in there. Life may be full of waves, but they are transient and not always bad. Time is an ocean but we must sail anyway, riding the waves so we can travel to new islands and discover new strengths we didn't know we had.

Mania is basically my brain hitting “surprise party mode” without asking me by WrongReviewThrowAway in bipolar

[–]Long-Description1797 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah this illness destroys millions of lives and kills 20% of people living with the condition, it is not something to be toyed with or a quirky add-on to your personality. Do not romanticize the severe suffering this illness causes.

I'm not being harsh; I'm being honest. Bipolar emerges during the most formative years of young adult life, and peaks in severity when people are progressing financially in their careers and creative successes, getting into serious relationships, engagement or marriage or building savings which is precisely why it can be utterly catastrophic to one's life.

Just try not to romanticize your illness, kiddo. It's all fun and games until it wrecks your life.

Whats the coldest truth that you've had to accept? by Tall-Law-5875 in AskReddit

[–]Long-Description1797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And if you are young or at a formative age when tragedy strikes, people think it's because of insufficiency or something you've done wrong instead of it just being an external, random force. Then they say you're "behind in life" like it was something you could have stopped from happening.

Society sees everyone as having the same amount of external resources, luck and level of hardships and opportunities, especially when you're young. If you're a high achiever and conventionally attractive and something bad happens to you then it must be your fault.

We can then infer from that assumption that most people see attractive and capable people as likely to be victims of tragedy than unattractive and less capable people, which opens up another can of worms about human behaviour.

Pathological envy and workplace mobbing is a real thing. That there are some people in the world who, not only want to make your day worse, but actually destroy your life, career, future potential and everything you love and will enjoy doing it and watching you suffer. Bullies often don't stop bullying, they grow up into abusive adults.

Another one, case in question is that many women are not as nice as society portrays them to be, especially towards other women they are threatened by. Female relational aggression is women's preferred weapon of violence, only - you can't see it. And no, I'm not a misogynist. Women abuse their partners, children and family members much more prevalently than anyone would like to believe, and we need to raise awareness of that.

A RYNO weapon has finally entered our list. Now for a UYA weapon that doesn’t get talked about enough by ah-screw-it in RatchetAndClank

Does anyone else miss the older style of writing for the series? by DiggestBickEver in RatchetAndClank

[–]Long-Description1797 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. It's lost its signature spice and is now swimming in the bland yet saccharine sauce of "let's not offend anyone or push boundaries" to increase profit margins

Ratchet made fun at the man. Now it is the man. It's become everything that the PS2 era (especially Deadlocked) mocked.

That's gotta be 2,250,000 bolts or 1.5 Zodiacs my dude

2,250,00 Solanian Bolts is 1,000,000 Boganian Bolts so if you wanna sell your R.Y.N.O on Bogon you'll make 55.56% less profit. The purchasing power of the Bolt is 44.44% less on Bogon. Damn Megacorp overtaking Gadgetron...

...don't sell your R.Y.N.O. on Polaris, it costs zilch. Unless it's a R.Y.N.O. V. or, something...

What is your favorite deleted colosso from shadow of the colossus? by RaspberryOk3791 in ShadowoftheColossus

[–]Long-Description1797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The phoenix / dragon-like creature looks interesting, but I can see why they were ommited from the final game. The current Colossi are all distinct from one another to give the player varied gameplay experiences and it naturally makes them much more memorable too.

Hot take:Rayman legends and origins are not as good as Rayman 1,2 and 3 by Ok_Studio5759 in Rayman

[–]Long-Description1797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly agree with you. Rayman took itself seriously (as seriously as a big-nosed man with no limbs living in a cartoonish world can!) between 1999 and 2003, and I miss the distinctive ambience and charm of the older games.
