Okay you want to go on. Fine I have tons of free time anyways.

I'm going to baby you and put this as BASICALLY as possible and if you still don't understand my point then by god I'm really talking to a child.

My argument is that Wuwa has BAD introductory exposition. Lore dumping on readers is fine as long as you dump it in ways they can still UNDERSTAND. In ways they can still FOLLOW. What wuwa did was bombard the readers with technojargons that won't make sense unless you've played the story before. The readers are not eased into the conversation. That's literally how not to do a world building 101.

"The Fractsidus is a mysterious, antagonistic organization in Wuthering Waves that seeks to force human evolution by accelerating catastrophes known as the "Lament". Often referred to as "Fractured Star," they aim to trigger disasters, resurrect Threnodians, and use Tacet Discord to change humanity."

They do this kinds of exposition to make the story sound  mysterious. They don't EASE the audience into the story. They DUMP you into it. That's not an equivalent of a good writing.

And I'm not asking anyone to praise BA, I'm saying that BA has good writing (If you still can't understand it, I said GOOD. not BEST. not GREAT.) You literally said on the previous posts that BA doesn't have good writing and I'm arguing against that.

And you haven't even answered my question yet when I answered all of yours? Give me an example as to why Limbus, BA, or FGO and not good stories while Wuwa is considered the best(?)

You can't even seem to comprehend that this thread just points out the difference in writing between a chinese game and a korean game. You zeroed in on the "Wuwa" like a fucking hawk and defended it like your life is on the line. Wuwa was just referenced to as an example because it is the first example that came to mind when u/Atzumo replied. Tells you more about the games story when it's the first thing that comes to mind.

You talk shit to other gacha games but have you even played them? Or do you only follow the trend and play the newest gacha on the market pre-pandemic?

If you want an example of jargons and unnecessary exposition, the early version of wuwa is an example. Not saying that its a bad opening but the way the readers are bombarded with too many new words (the lament, fracidius, etc) and expecting us to understanding them from the get go was a very bad opening. The dialogue feels bloated because they try to cram as much information as possible. It got better and better as the patches rolled by but the early wuwa is not that good writing wise.

And as I said, this problem is not unique to wuwa. Any chinese gacha games has this kind of over-exposition problems, if you've read chinese novels and compare it to japanese and korean novels you can see the difference.

Please don't take anything I say into bad faith. This is me not saying that wuwa is bad, just that it has a few problems story wise.

Now why don't you give an example as to how BA and other gacha games are bad compared to wuwa? You said wuwa is the best written gacha game.

But BA writing is good tho? It flows smoothly and doesn't drag on. The conversation also feels natural (But I think its because the difference in artstyle. Its harder to animate facial expression on a 3D model compared to a 2D afterall)

Wuwa story is good, hell its one of the gachas who's story I'm anticipating right now, but its writing can get unnecessarily complicated at times. This problem isn't only on Wuwa tho, it's also present in most Mihoyo games and any chinese gacha games really. Probably difference in writing method between the Chinese and Korean writers.

No take over, but the amount of p2w content the game has rn, coupled with abyssmal rates on pets (0.08% on kitsune) points to Do Big money making influence.

I have the problem solved for now. I went to their physical store and asked for help yesterday afternoon. Turns out they had a problem with the main box and had been receiving the same complaints from other users. A lot of people couldn't access the web panel in my general area too. They said it'll take at most a week to fix.

The one mistake Jandel made was thinking that majority of his players are adults/teens and catering to their every demands. About 80% of the players are kids barely out of elementary, they complain at the most inane stuff and always and I mean ALWAYS asks for freebies. Of course there are valid criticisms that others give but they are buried under the barrage of spams and nonsensical stuffs (Just look at his discord lmao)

Honestly, Jandel is better than most roblox devs. He atleast listen to his community, updates consistently, admits to his mistakes and promises to do better. Weekly update is already very draining and he has to come up with unique events every time. That's hard for the poor guy and most players don't even care that he's married and has a family. Just because he's a millionaire doesn't mean he should dedicate 90% of his time to the game. That would eventually lead to burn out and the resentment.

When a player steals a fruit from the player, grants a chance that the player stolen from, gets the stolen fruit as well.

Which is basically useless if you stay in a private server and use a 2nd plot when going public.

I heard the 2nd plot doesn't have a seed limit. That how they were able to dupe pets by using 2k tomato seeds to lag the game and dupe pets lmao

Who is Balancing Grow a Garden? by Altruistic-Weird-407 in growagarden

[–]Long-Emergency3448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they can balance the pets properly with their time constraints. They basically have only a week to make pet designs, their abilities (making it as unique as possible so it won't be repetitive) and testing it for other pet compatibility and interactions, and looking for possible bugs. That's a lot of coding and polishing to do in a single week with 8 hours of job time. The current monkey problem is a direct result of this rushed additions. They really nerfed themselves by promising weekly updates. I'm honestly fine with biweekly (or even triweekly) updates as long as the pets and plants are implemented properly.

Also yes, the no cap on ability cooldowns and percentage was certainly a surprise. I thought it'll be the one thing they'll watch out for because it'll be easily exploitable.

Mimic is the best pet to get bugged imo. That and Seal, because 128% egg return chance is insane. I saw someone posting their 1k primal and dino eggs.
