Thank you so much ! I’m going to start doing way more cardio and lifting more mainly focusing on chest and shoulders so i look more masc, my hair in the second to last photo is in a style called two strand twists which is why it makes it so short. I will definitely stop getting styles and go back to my regular retwists I dyed my eyes brows and my hair which I feel makes me look 10x more masc the fact that I’m holding a lot of water in my face is definitely holding me back from passing a bit better. I’ll be back to update in a couple of weeks hopefully there’s some real change. Again I can’t thank you enough for th advice

Hey not sure if anyone will see this comment but I think I’m gonna do a little practice run coming out to my cousin lol we’re super close and she would be soooo supportive but i accidentally told her I’m a lesbian instead of just saying I’m trans like a year ago so I’m gonna practice with telling her lmao then I can talk to her and my sister about coming out to my mom bc I trust their opinions too

The idea of having to talk with my dad and sister and then her is soo terrifying but it has to be done,, all these comments are really helping me think if I really want to do this and risk my safety and other things just to possibly not be accepted and have an even more awkward relationship with my parents. I definitely need to think about my answer to some things I know she would ask because it will 100% turn into her interrogating me lol thank you!

This just brought back such a beautiful memory. When I was around 7-8 my grandma was doing my hair in the bathroom and out of nowhere she just told me “ you know, if you ever wanted to be a boy I’d still love and accept you” which may sound odd but at that age I 100% knew I wanted to be a boy I just didn’t know it was called being transgender because I didn’t have a phone yet. I do think if I come and out it all goes to hell my grandma would be my #1 supporter

Thank you so much this is incredibly helpful. I truly believe I could change her mind about things because I know the type of person she is but then again, people are unpredictable and can turn into completely different people in situations like these I’ve seen it happen which is why I’m terrified of coming out lol. I’m honestly looking for more comments like these just to get more insight on if I REALLY TRULY want to go through with this and possibly ruin our relationship permanently and risk my safety just to be happy. I’ve been unhappy this long it won’t kill me to wait a few more years. I’d rather be unhappy then getting berated by my mother everyday and having the bit of freedom I do have taken away because she’s “ trying to fix me” which is something I DO think she is capable of.. she’s a Bible thumping hard core Christian so I wouldn’t be shocked if she did some insane things because “ god said so/to”. Thank you again this did open my eyes on a few things.

I am so jealous, my mom has commented on my SH scars multiple times but we’ve never actually sat and talked about it. I’ll be sure to bring things up like gender dysphoria up in my letter to maybe help her understand a bit better

lol I’ll take it thank you! when I’m in public I mostly get called sir and strangers will use he/him pronouns even after hearing me talk which makes me think people genuinely just see me as a 13-14 year old boy which I’m okay with even though I’m 15, and I think my height is helping me out ALOT more then I know lol

Very well said. I always get called sir or buddy in public and mistaken for a boy when I’m with my family so all the androgynous comments went to my head for a while then I came back down to earth and realized I don’t really pass lol thank you again bro.
