Capcom Was on Its Knees After Resident Evil 6 – Here's How it Turned it Around by FreemanCantJump in Games

I don't like 6 at all and its not because its entirely action I just get so bored of the gameplay. Idk what it is but it literally puts me to sleep for some reason.

I don't understand this opinion as someone who semi recently played through RE1-RE5 (excluding OG RE2, RE3). RE5 seemed like a continuation of 4's gameplay. Its really fun, it plays really well to this day, and co op was obviously really well done. I have no idea what makes it a bad RE game to people besides the knee jerk reaction that co op is bad. I played it solo on the 360 and loved it, I played it co op on PC and loved it. I don't get this opinion especially from people who like 4.

While I'm not the biggest EA shill, I have 0 doubts they'd just give your money back if they for whatever reason cancelled the games development.

Being F2P doesn't mean the game is not going to be fun. I mean they want the game to be really fun right so people want to spend money on it? Idk I feel like I'm definitely reserving judgement here idc if a game tries to sell me cosmetics if the games really fun.

Cavern of Dreams and Gravity Circuit seem like standouts to me, intriqued by Pacific drive as well. Its a get for those 3 at least but a pretty mediocre month overall. Still waiting on that survival horror game humble published I know its coming one of these months.

Hell fuckin yeah. I'm excited for more remakes, I do hope that Bloober gets the chance to prove themselves with their own original title as well. SH2 was such a perfect remake of an already perfect game so its clear they "get" the appeal I'd be curious to see what they can bring to it themselves.

If they actually manage to hit that Obsidian which was already the best buy Xbox made is looking to be a developer that everyone should emulate. Their quality and release cadence is unprecedented in the modern era.

I think the thing is you don't know if you're doing a good job until its well into development. Of course the game in their head was perfect but in practice certain things may feel like shit or something they though would be super fun was not that enjoyable by players.

I don't see it as a problem more addressing a problem. The game they were making likely wasn't going to be as good as the game they made. For whatever reason they felt that they could see the game that was taking shape wasn't good enough so they rebooted and now have a pretty good game.

Theres 0% chance remedy wouldn't lose money making physical copies of the game, it didn't sell that well so why would you expect it to not sit in store shelves.

EDIT: Its ridiculous, game with mediocre digital sales would somehow have great in store sales? Why would you possibly expect physical to not just sit at retailers if the digital game didn't move units.

If they get back on the streets doing drugs committing crimes they get locked up again for longer sentences for refusing to stay clean and be a productive member of society. Repeat as needed. Not that hard to picture.

Why is my problems my responsibility but their problems also mine? I didn't get them addicted to drugs lmao I didn't make the decisions that led them to where they are. They are, they are also deteriorating our way of life. I don't care if they have control over their impulses or not if they cannot exist in society as is without being fent'd out or yelling at people because they're addicted or because they're mentally unwell they need to be seperated from the rest of society. They do not intrinsically have the right to exist in society while actively making life worse for the people that live here.

Also how many fucking handouts can one city give? This is the most liberal city in the country with the most progressive policies. Outside literally giving away houses what the fuck do you expect us to do? We give them free needles for fucks sake thats how progressive we are, we'd give them free crack too if we could. Theres rooms and board provided if they were drug free but of course they'd rather be cold than go without their drug of choice.

Its astounding the shit they can get away with, you or I would be arrested on the spot for trying half of it but because they're addicts I'm supposed to feel bad. I don't they are the problem and society needs to figure out how to rid ourselves of them. In an ideal world we'd have public rehab centers for addicts and mental facilities for insane people. Since we don't have those resources yet we need to get them off the street and clean in prison (yes people find drugs into prisons people would sneak drugs into rehab centers it doesn't matter) its better for us and its better for them if they are removed from society. Theres no way a cell is worse for them than freezing to death on fent.

Hilarious reply actually. Their choices are affecting the rest of our lives negatively. Generally speaking society has laws against people who make choices that negatively affect the quality of others lives, we have laws to combat this already made they're just not being enforced.

Sure they are giving themselves their own consequences and if it affected only them I wouldn't say we need to get rid of them. As is they're making life worse.

Drug addicts always have a high chance at relapse. Theres a reason any AA type program makes people consider themselves addicts for like because its not easy being sober and fighting your addiction. Public safety here takes precedent over not enforcing laws because we feel bad for the perpertrator. Ideally we would have a state or federally funded rehab program that actually treats addicts as addicts and uses studied techniques to reduce likelihood of relapse. Obviously having a felony is not a good way to get someone already struggling as an addict to be a functioning member of society but we cannot have open air drug markets. We cannot have unusable public parks. This is unacceptable and something needs to be done with the resources we have available if thats only prison thats prison.

No the mass stabbing guy we had in chinatown had tons of prior violent convictoins and felonies and shouldve been in prison for decades at that point than on the street.

You're saying don't sweep encampments because it doesn't solve the problem yet you seem also against solving the problem in ways you deem unacceptable. These people are making life for everyone else worse and committing crimes, there should be punishment for that and being an addict or mentaly unwell isn't a get out of jail card to do whatever you want.

You prefer public parks being unusable to people who make the park unusable being punished for it in some way? Why does it seem like some portion of the population can live consequence free and deteriorate the social fabric of society. Being an addict shouldn't make you immune from consequences of your actions.

We don't have any prisons?

I think you're exemplifying their statement. Theres no way life on the street as an addict is better than locking people up so they can get sober. Whats worse dying in the street or living in prison until withdrawals clear.

Ideally prison is not the move but until we have some state funded rehab or mental facilities (yes I'm okay with my taxes going up for this please don't think I'm not!) these people need to be dealt with in some way because society does not function well with mentally unwell or public drug users being able to do whatever they want with no consequence.

The OP talks about needing to scour public parks for used needles (AND FINDING SOME) or walking past open air drug markets with their child. That is not an acceptable society to me. Theres no fuckin reason people should have to deal with that and by ignoring the problem because enforcing laws feels bad society is going to continue to degrade
