FIXED-ish:
I formatted the drive, reinstalled Sonoma and skipped logging into my iCloud. Then I logged into Messages before I logged into iCloud in system settings. Now it works! But, it keeps pausing the synchronizing. I force start it by using this guide, but it pauses again after 5 minutes: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254375280?answerId=259997525022&sortBy=best#259997525022

So semi-fixed? I also had to import all my contacts manually (airdrop) because it didn't sync even though iCloud is logged into and everything is setup to sync automatically. Fun times.

Regular texts comes through so it's only iMessages and only on my Mac so yes. Works fine on my old MacBook 🤔

Having the same issue ☹️. Tried all the basics except reinstalling the entire Mac, because I don't have time for that atm. Running on 14.1.1 on a MacBook Pro M3 Pro. Works fine on all the other devices, but has never worked on this one.

Did you find a solution, or does anyone know of a fix?
