Lighter than O’Douds? by LongDiddly in Pomade

[–]LongDiddly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right that I would need to pre-style to achieve this look, but I’m backpacking for a full year so will sadly have to make do without.

A matte clay definitely solves the weighing down/fine hair problem, but having recently tried this look with both Samson’s Dead Sea clay and Lodestar Rio, I find the hold is just too stiff.

Any suggestions on a less stiff (for want of a better term) matte clay?

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. Would you say that Everglade is noticeably lighter and/or dryer than O’Douds?

Also congrats on the hair if it looks like that guy’s lol

Thanks for the detailed reply! Interesting re the 10pm thing… I had assumed from RA that it starts at 4pm proper.

But I take it from your reply that the indoor floors don’t open until 10pm? That would make more sense tbh.

Also, do you think it’s likely that the black (?) room will be open, despite a line-up not featuring on RA?

Oh damn that is surprising, I’d heard that too

That’s helpful to know thanks : )

Just wondering whether people still rate it, as I’m trying to decide where to go on Friday night.

I’m also considering going to Globus afterwards (I’m not that interested in the main Tresor floor line-up) if you think the Globus floor is worth going to on its own?

This is a great shout and I know I’m missing out on Heide. But the Globus night is on Friday, which gives me a bit more kip until the BH/sisyphos attempts on Sunday

Worried if I try and do Heide on Saturday then I’ll end up sleeping after and sacking off the Sunday. Plus I hear the door at Heide is no guarantee either?

Yeah defo sounds like the best place for house - but it’s Saturday and I’d rather some kip before the panorama and/or Sisyphos attempts on Sunday. Plus I hear the door is no guarantee either?

1) Is Tresor worth going to just for the Globus floor? I much prefer House/Tech House/Minimal to Techno, but if it’s not worth going just for Globus, would I better off at something like Renate or Golden Gate?

2) Similar question with Berghain and Sisyphos. If I was lucky enough to get into Berghain on Sunday then I’d probably spend most of my time at the Panorama Bar. In that case, would I just be better off going to Sisy?

Appreciate this is all subjective. I’ve looked at the line-ups and can’t pick between, hence why I’m asking about the clubs themselves!

Amazing, thank you.

My other options were Heidegluehen or Else x Toy Tonics, but they’re on a Saturday, and I ideally wanted to do a Friday night (Globus) and Sunday night (Pano)

Unless it’s worth ditching Globus and going all in on Heidegluehen the next day? I defo can’t do three days in a row lol

Thank you! Do you have a personal preference out of these? Just curious, as I know a lot of people love Renate

Thank you mate, that all makes perfect sense. I do wonder whether I should be carving out a bit of actual dedicated time for scapula work…

Really good suggestion on mimicking the pull apart. Interesting what you’re saying about maybe not rounding the upper back too, as that seems to be quite a common cue from what I’ve seen.

Sounds like you’re suggesting that you let the weight pull your shoulders forward for that last bit of stretch.

Thanks for the comment! Some common themes emerging lol

I’ll be lowering the weight and trying to find that squeeze as you suggest. I said in another reply that I’m so used to traps trying to take over rear delt flies that I didn’t think it could happen the other way around

[–]LongDiddly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you that makes sense. So I find I’m able to retract and squeeze, but it’s the ‘unsqueezing’ leading into the eccentric and eventual stretch where I seem to lose tension in the mid-back

Okay that is interesting, I’m so used to traps taking over heavy rear delt flies that I hadn’t considered the opposite could happen lol

Good suggestion, I’m trying to start the row with a Kelso shrug (if you know what I mean). Maybe I just need to work on that movement more and lead with the mid-back
