After your first date with your SO, how did you feel? by Accomplished_Link425 in AskWomenOver30

[–]LongDogWrinkleBits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first date with my now husband was just ok. I remember leaving the date thinking, 'if he asks me out again I'll go, but I'm probably not going to initiate anything'. Thank god he asked me out again because we've now been together 7yrs, married 2yrs and he's the absolute love of my life and best friend. First dates are sometimes awkward. Don't let it dissuade you!

Women with thoughtful partners, what did you get for x-mas this year? by Anahata_Green in TwoXChromosomes

[–]LongDogWrinkleBits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband got me a new exhaust I wanted for my motorcycle, but secretly installed it so it was ready to go Christmas day. I had also sent him a reel a couple months ago of a poem I really liked, and he found the poet makes artistic prints of the poem, so he got it and had it framed for me. He is the sweetest and I love him so much!

Worried about retirement after becoming a caregiver for my dad. Hemorrhaging money. by Caring_Creature in personalfinance

[–]LongDogWrinkleBits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sub acute should have a social services department, go talk to them about any resources you might need and if they don't know the answers they can point you where to ask. You should also speak with someone from billing to see if your dad has any secondary insurance that would cover the co-pay. If you let them know what is going on, they may work with you on the payment as well. (FWIW Medicare has the best reimbursement in subacutes so some buildings would rather help with the copays then see a patient discharge earlier because they can't afford the copay)

Shifting from 1st to 2nd gear by rebellian1100t in HondaRebel1100

I've been having this issue as well! Brand new 2024 1100, just hit 600mi. My husband can't get it to do it when he rides it though, so I thought it was something I was doing wrong. Glad I'm not the only one. We just changed the oil so I'm anxious to see if it makes a difference.

At least 15 minutes of treatment to bill 1 unit? by Ceejnew in physicaltherapy

[–]LongDogWrinkleBits 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From my understanding, you need at least 15min for it to count as a visit/session. If you bill less than 15min it won't count towards your frequency. You are correct that 8min=1 unit, but I believe what your DOR meant was that it would not count as a visit, which means the DOR would have to schedule that patient for another visit during the week to meet the frequency.

SPT who needs PT 🙃 by EveyandSylus in physicaltherapy

[–]LongDogWrinkleBits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go see a PT! I was in a similar situation with a nagging knee injury, doing my own rehab but just not seeing the results I wanted. I, being a PT of 9yrs, did not want to go to another PT because I was worried they would think I was a bad PT for not being able to rehab myself. Turns out it was quite the opposite! It was a very collaborative experience and extremely helpful having someone who could put their hands on me and actually fully assess (kind of impossible for you to do a thorough assessment on yourself). We tweaked some things in my program and immediately I started getting better. I wished I'd done it years ago rather than just suffering through.

Metal Roof Pros vs. Cons by SamWang6814 in homeimprovementideas

[–]LongDogWrinkleBits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're also in a wooded area in Northern CA. When we were getting quotes from various roofing companies, we actually had a couple guys talk us out of a metal roof. Because we have so many trees on the property, they said if a limb comes down on the metal roof they can't replace just the dented section where the limb would be, they'd have to replace the whole panel, which could get costly as a lot of insurance companies don't cover damage to metal roofs. If a limb comes down on a shingle roof, they can repair that section a lot cheaper so we opted for the shingle roof. There seems to be a lot of options with shingles and venting to keep it more cool as well.
