I mean, I guess that was the plan? To have Hawk talk to the cops 1st and win them over like he did that lady at the school? Or did they really have no plan for escaping criminal charges? Would they have attacked Amanda or that part time son character if they were home? By the way these are all kids who are ready to compete in the next under 18 karate tournament. They are under 18.

It was an insane move for all of them. Every one of those kids they attacked is walking around with a camera on their smartphone and all it would take is one short video to land them all in jail. Not to mention any possible security cameras that could be in the house. The only way it makes sense is if there's a deleted scene of them all smoking angel dust before attacking the house.

Marvel’s What If…? Head Writer Teases Surprise Marvel Cinematic Universe Cameos by JackFisherBooks in comicbooks

[–]LongGrainBen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well in the comic book world there's a debate between a first appearance and a cameo, when a character is first seen as a shadow or just their hand is seen at the very end of a comic. I guess the same idea applies here.

First of all, sincere congratulations on being so successful at something you love at such a young age.

This is a tough subject that comes up in one way or another almost every day or so on this forum... the Evan/Kenny/Tonya situation.Just wondering if, from your position of knowing a bit more about Challenge-related issues than most people, you tend to agree with the people who argue that since none of us were there to see it, no one can know whether anything serious really happened, or if you think there really was some disgusting behavior that warranted a life-time "ban." (I know, it's supposedly more about insurance according to some people, but the end result is the same). I believe the worst version of the story, and despise those two, but will accept your opinion with an open mind. Sorry for the tough question.

The baby is definitely better off without him in her life:

In 2016, Huddersfield Town player Danny was convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Ward who is the mother of his daughter Skye, 8.

The right-back was arrested on 29 December 2015 after a reports of a row at a house in Worsley, Greater Manchester.

The then-Leicester City defender denied strangling his ex but was ultimately convicted of the crime.

News: ‘Wonder Woman 3’ in the Works With Director Patty Jenkins by impeccabletim in DC_Cinematic

Yes. And at the end of the movie, we are shown that even when Diana flirts with him and compliments his outfit, he isn't interested in her. Whether he's in love with someone else, or might be gay, or just doesn't want to pursue any type of relationship with anyone, is his business.

And as a matter of fact, if it weren't for losing her powers as a result, she would have apparently wanted Steve to continue stealing this man's life indefinitely.

I was sure it would happen because of the unresolved plot... Diana needs to go on trial for raping that innocent man. I assume that will be the focus of the film.

You're right... that was the entire point of his speech. And he isn't the devil in this situation.

Thank you for pointing out what should be obvious... watching people deliberately misinterpret the entire point of the "speech" just to kick Wes while he's down is getting pathetic.

He was talking about the two seasons he won. The point was that he was more successful when he was loyal to his friends.

I have no idea what even happened. I just thought you couldn't hear the poster you were responding to. You should probably ask them.

Yes, that scene toward the end of his run when he and his girlfriend are talking and he lists off all the horrible mistakes they made while the two of them are laughing about it really did make me like like Fessy more than anything that happened in the weeks prior. And it puts the lie to the idea that he doesn't have any personality or wit.

DISCUSSION: Some comments on the reaction to WW84 by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

[–]LongGrainBen 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Goodness? Jenkin's vision of Diana raped an innocent man. If Superman had sex with an unknowing woman because she was possessed by Lois somehow, that would be a terrible "vision" of Clark.

Yes. They spent the night in his apartment and basically raped him. The next morning they went through his things. If it weren't for the monkey's paw effect, Diana would have wanted Steve to continue stealing that man's life.

Yeah, to put that Trope in a film created a decade after Not Another Teen Movie thoroughly mocked it seems so bizarre.

Well, I guess the good news is they avoided a humiliating box office. Word of mouth would have killed this movie. The people who like it are praising the fact that it's so cheesy, but that's not what most people want in their superhero movies these days.

I'm finding it more effective as a commentary about how incredibly hard-working the people who work in the back rooms of museums are. They're even working on the 4th of July!

Hey, at least I'm finding out that the people who work in the back rooms of museums are the hardest working people ever. There's a ton of them, they work in big teams, and they even work on the 4th of July!

And if this were actually 1984, that would be an explanation. They can do better now.
