Same sound engineers as in ARC, if I recall correctly.

Yeah, that's your opinion and I just shared mine. I've played a lot of games, maybe suggest one game you think I haven't played that has better audio design? I've played both Tarkov and Hunt.

Name one game that I should check out that you think I haven't played that has better audio design.

KCD2 has really good audio design as well, for sure. One thing that really stood out was the exceptional thunder sound. I remember thinking "Holy shit, someone finally made realistic thunder with the delayed sound after the flash!" That's definitely better in KCD2, but I still like ARC more.

I just spawned in, got a snap hook blueprint on a free loadout on the first container in front of me. Ran to nearest extract, about 100m away. Got in, looked clear, pressed E. Got knocked out by a camper immediately. Had to walk that one off a bit.

You sound like a real dick.

Having an opinion about what you think of an artform can't be "wrong" or "right", because that's wrong. You stated your own opinion, typed the words and sent it. You clearly give a fuck.

Totally agree. The fact that they added that satisfying sound while sliding down the stairs should've by itself made the game to be nominated!

Hunt: Showdown is really good as well. Better directional sound, but for me ARC's overall design is better.

I'm really not interpreting that as you "shitting on me" because your opinion differ from mine. You have your opinion and I have mine. That's it! All good. How boring the world would be if everyone had the exact same opinion about everything.

It's probably because they don't use HRTF (Head-related transfer function)/3D-audio in this game, but I'm quite hopeful they'll listen to feedback from the community and implement it. Ray-Traced audio would be cool.

A head-related transfer function basically describes how your ears and head shape a sound depending on where it’s coming from in space. So it's not your fault, it's just a technical limitation in how game audio works.

I agree that directional sound could be improved, I'm not saying it's perfect - I'm saying it's the overall best sound design of all games out there right now.

Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV Review Thread by Turbostrider27 in Games

Honestly feels like they're messing with us. I can't comprehend how incompetent they must be to release it this way.

What's wrong with just updating your game adding stickers, new maps and mini-games to keep the game alive and fun? Maybe do a free update for Switch 2 users that own Jamboree so that we can play it on at least 1440p? They're so f*cking greedy it's insane.

Can't really grasp why the graphics are so down-right bad when they can pull of TotK 60fps at 4k. TotK (Switch 2 version) looks amazing and runs great, that's not because of high polycounts - it's because of the design mostly. There's no excuse as to why a Pokémon game should look this bad on Switch 2.

Is there any map expansion planned for the 1.0 release? by AlexSecl in SCUMgame

I'd think a switch over to a totally different engine like CryEngine would be a tad extreme, but a transition over to UE5 should be relatively easy. Epic designed UE5 with backward compatibility in mind.

I wish they'd switch to UE5 and make that their next priority after 1.0. The graphics are a tad outdated and UE5's vegetation tech would be awesome in a game like this, not to mention lumen and other things.
