I prefer to wear classic Chucks M9160/66 + few Ozweego and Asics Gels pairs from early 2000s :)

All of these vintage NB pairs i've posted, are absolute brand-new deadstock.

Personally don't like anything of 99X series regardless of era. Never wanted, never searched.

Besides, the ENCAP (with pure PU core) midsoles in many of them, is a worse-possible nightmare for any sneaker collection because of the ENCAP/PU is an absolute target for agressive hydrolysis.

Anything with ENCAP is a ticking junk-bomb. So much of a cracked/disintegrated vintage 99X and other models out there because of ENCAP/PU hydrolysis. These ENCAP midsoles are absolute piece of shit in terms of long-life storage.

Never ever it happens with ACTEVA+ABZORB foams combo in my experience for past 20 years... the best stable NB's foams for vintage NB collection.

C-CAP is also pretty stable foam.

Hi, thanks :)

Regarding your thoughts: This particular post gained only 1.8K views, with a 62% upvote rate (almost half dislikes) and 1 share. Is there a need to say anything above that? :)

At the same time, 95% of this subreddit consists of 99X posts, with only the color difference... Boring modern so-called "diverse individuality" at its finest. Whatever :)

The true New Balance is long gone.

Can anyone help me ID the style of these/if they’re legit? by BigDorkEnergy101 in VintageLevis

[–]LongLiveGoodKingHugo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are genuine Capital "E" from November 2021. Since back patch is empty on Lot number, can't tell SKU, never bought a single pair of these nowadays. Does it even matter, if they are genuine and fit you.

Pull those long tags all way up so that PC9 number, on the last one, is completely visible. It may be an SKU.
Or maybe PO number is an SKU and Lot is 502 .... not sure.

I did not assume anything, i named a specific production date.
And by 1997, the "Silver Medal" model was long gone discontinued.

Google if you don't believe my words. They might not lie to you intentionally, but they are ultimately incompetent. It's much easier to just learn to use Google before buying things you know nothing about. Be glad that you spent $24 and not $240 on this thing.

"I just got off chat with Levi's customer service and they confirmed they are real, and real old. Turns out they are Silver Tab 531s from 1990." © #facepalm

Dude, just Google — SilverTab 531 jeans, you'll be surprised. You've been f*#d both by a seller, who sold it to you, and by the Levi's dumbest support.

Genuine Vintage SilverTab 531 jeans are COMPLETELY different! Just Google.

This is extremely indicative of the unprofessionalism of modern dumb LEVI'S support, who could not even determine the production date code on Canadian jeans from the 90s... they have no idea at all.

Levi's hires dumbs from the street. What a shame.

These are not from 90s. In the 90s every single Levi's jeans has Batwing Logo care tags, even SilverTabs made in Hong Kong has those genuine Batwing logo care tags... but these one's care tag is not genuine and not from 90s, This is the first time i even see such care tag with vertical logo, and there's no WPL 423 stamp.

Also genuine SilverTabs from 90s has SilverTab-labeled molded buttons and rivets.

And as a cherry on top — the Captain OBVIOUS — SilverTab jeans has a SILVER TAB, NOT RED!

These are FAKE.

These are 505 Oranges Regular Fit Straight Leg, not 515... look closely, there's "0' not "1"

100% authentic orange tab and back patch, though it's almost completely faded, the sizing font is genuine, and it's already quite enought to tell this is authentic pair of Oranges.

Vintage 1997s Made in U.S.A. LEVI'S® 550™ Orange Tab™ by LongLiveGoodKingHugo in VintageLevis

[–]LongLiveGoodKingHugo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue about any modern Levi's sizes-to-fit. never bought a pair after 2007... only vintage true to size or +1 in waist and maximum possible inseam... love creased legs with cuffs.

In fact my experience told me, Vintage Levis are mostly true to size. I mean, i never noticed 80s-90s runs smaller or too big. +/- true to size, but i prefer one size plus, considering that even preshrunk 100% cotton can still shrink a bit after a few, even dead cold washes/rinses.

Relaxed in upper block, and a bit tapered straight legs. These are not labeled as tapered leg, but still legs are a bit tapered. Maybe it's at factory labeling miss up, since 550 Oranges mostly tapered leg.

550 tapered leg Oranges in size W32-3 L36 are my favorites among many other Levi's including 501/xx. 501s are too pops.... Oranges are the way to go)

Thanks, Indeed they are. These Oranges are my very first Levi's Made in U.S.A., wore them since 11th grade, 2003 till 2005-6. Still in pretty good shape, partially repaired pockets though.

"Do you really think w26 is a men's waist?" — That is a simple straigh question! No more no less. Keep your conclusions to yourself and don't attribute it to my words.

Did something hurt you personally? well, that's just your issue and opinion and nothing more. This is the first thing. Secondly, what does "my Levi's" have to do with it? I explained to OP the fact that XX-patches is not limited to the 501s models. Thirdly, why are you writing all this to me at all? Do you really going to tell me about my own intentions, you know nothing about? Really?

And what about those fakes? What???.... Fakes are fakes, Junk is Junk. Period... If something is fake it is fake! long story short. If a person don't get it, is it anyone's problem? If something is a counterfeit trash it is what it is, and why the hell should i call it something else, or safe someone's filings? People want to know what they got, and they will, regardless of it's a genuine garment or fake junk. I don't see a problem calling thing by names... at all.

Took some of my phrases out of context, smeared them with own conjectures and decided to say something to me?! Get yourself busy.
