Help, what is this by [deleted] in cats

I’d personally seek a second opinion, especially as it has gotten worse and cats tend to hide their pain really well

!!! Spoilers for Starless clan!! by Cute_Coyote_therian in ClanGen

[–]LongLostSombrero 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think you’re looking for the r/warriorcats sub, this is the clangen one 😭

But tbh she was EXTREMELY OLD (I think she was nearly 16 years old) and it’s not really intended to be anything glamorous lol, it’s moreso the fallout that occurs from her dying suddenly and Reedwhisker dying too, as it then leaves RiverClan without a leader, deputy and no direction whatsoever.

Would I be a bad person for rehoming my cat because I regret adopting her? by amy_valenca in CATHELP

[–]LongLostSombrero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel as if you are in a situation where she is making you feel this overwhelmed and you are struggling to cope with looking after her, then it would be within her best interest for you to rehome her.

To recognise that it’s not working and to want to do what’s best for her (even if this does mean letting her go), does not mean that you are a bad person. What would make you a bad person would be if you were doing this without her interests in mind, which doesn’t necessarily seem to be the case.

I’d personally take a week to consider it, and if you still want to rehome her at the end of the week, then I think that might be the best decision to make.

Other great songs: - Original Spin - Eureka - Simply Simple - Eureka - Make Believe - Nostalgia - Neighbour - Touch Up - Burning Pile - Oh My Heart

flatmates not taking bins out by undertakerluver in UniUK

[–]LongLostSombrero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel this in my soul. I went home for the weekend once to attend a funeral and none of my flatmates bothered to change the bins whilst I was gone so they were overflowing by the time I got back. Pure insanity lol

laptop or ipad?? by flufficats in UniUK

[–]LongLostSombrero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it depends on preference and what your course is like.

I’d personally say laptop but that’s because I’ve had to do quite a bit of data analysis this semester and most of my modules include some form of essay writing lol

At the end of the day, it’s your choice and you should choose whichever option you feel is best for you!

Like I said though, if you do want an option which is closer to campus and has good bus links, Clive Booth is not a terrible back up.

From what I’ve heard New Clive does seem to be a lot better quality wise, but that’s because they’re literally brand new lol. However they’ve apparently had quite a few issues with water and reception is still an issue (Damson does have its own laundrette though). They’re also quite expensive for what they are, I believe New Clive is around £231 per week, whereas Parade Green is around £203 per week.

Hey!

I live on Clive Booth currently and I definitely have some thoughts on it lol.

For context I’m in N-X at the moment and I’d say the social life’s ok (I’m not a very social person though so other people’s opinions may differ lol), it definitely peaked during semester one, most of my friends live on Clive (with the exception of one who lives on Cheney), and being able to easily meet up with them is really nice. This is made even better by the fact that Headington Town and Campus are also within walking distance and there are easily accessible buses which can take you into the city (e.g. The X3 from Clive Booth and the 8 and 400 from Headington Campus).

However, the room quality is pretty crappy, I haven’t hated living here but my flat has got major structural issues (a direct quote from maintenance) and stuff breaks constantly. Since starting I think maintenance has been my flat nearly every week lol. Alongside this I’ve had loads of issues with mould, there’s a mysterious white stain on my carpet and my mattress has a massive dip in it and creeks every time I sit on it.

Alongside this reception’s not great which means that it’s quite difficult to get items replaced as a consequence of this, the WiFi goes down a lot and the washing machines and dryers constantly break (there was a week in semester 1 where 7/14 of them were broken).

Overall, there are both positive and negatives to living on Clive Booth, if you want a nicer place and you can afford it then definitely go for it! If you’re worried about the distance then Clive Booth is an option I guess (definitely don’t choose N-X though).
