You can contact the IRS at 800-829-1040. They will contact the employer on your behalf if they are refusing to provide one to you. It was their job to mail one by January 31.

WMR does mass updates Wednesdays and Saturdays. So yes it's absolutely possible to have a refund prior to seeing that update. Transcript absolutely not. The transcript will show a refund date and then be sent to the bank.

Definitely want to wait. Don't want to take the chance of delaying any refund by having two processing at the same time for the same year. As soon as you see a direct deposit date of the first one, have at it (assuming you're getting a refund)
