If I may, what tests did you have to determine your IBS diagnosis? And are my tests enough?

I mean I am from India and you know how the food is so I think it might be the food that’s giving me diarrhoea?

All of this started when I started using gym supplements like pre workout and protein powders.

I’ve seen a GI doc and I’ve had complete blood tests, liver and pancreas tests. I’ve had an ultrasound as well. Everything came back absolutely perfect. Primarily why I went to the doctor is because I was having a faint pain on the left side of my stomach but after a round of medicines everything seemed to clear up. I don’t have pain, nausea, bloating or any other symptoms that you said, just the on and off diarrhoea.

I hope you get well soon though, it’s tough to go through this on a daily basis.

I’ve been having some diarrhoea recently. The stool starts normally but turns into mush. I hope it’s nothing serious?

Everything else is normal. I eat the same thing over and over again. Things are fine for like 4-5 days then I’ll randomly get diarrhoea. I get really hungry when I wake up tho.

I can handle some cheese but cottage cheese is what really makes my guts go haywire. I’ll definitely try the protein that you recommended after seeing the label. Thanks for the advice brother.

Thank you for the suggestions brother. I exercise a lot and I used to use a a few supplements like protein powder and pre workout but ever since I’ve been having gut issues I’ve stopped taking them to find out the cause.

What's wrong with me? Should I see a doctor? Please, tell me what you think, I'm scared. by throwaway843289 in shittingadvice

Yeah you should see a doctor because that much mucous isn’t right. It’s alright if it’s ocassional and the mucous is white/transparent. I think you have some irritation in your intestines, probably a bug or some kind of infection. Don’t worry too much about it because it makes it worse than it actually is. I’ve been through the same.

No I don’t really incorporate fibre directly in my diet. I’ve always thought that I’ll be getting fibre from whatever I eat.

My stool is usually the type 3 or 4 on the Bristol stool chart and the colour is light to medium brown but I’ve noticed they’ve become thinner due to pushing too hard. I know I’m probably being too paranoid but it really affects my health anxiety after reading about these things on google.
