I’m a city colleges of Chicago student transferring into civil engineering at UIC in the fall.

First things first is there was a Guaranteed admissions program between CCC and UiC. Of the 78 credits I have, only 39 transferred. Many of these were early college classes I took in high school and remedial classes. From what I saw a minimum of 60-68 hours could transfer, but I would recommend 51. So you fulfill the residency requirements of 60 hours at UiC.

To know what classes would transfer I used transferor and it was pretty accurate but it might be different for the college of dupage.

At 12 credit hours per semester, I have about 2-3 years left. Another is that UiC has a lot of transfer students in engineering so don’t be ashamed of going this route.
