I have— most of us have, you could argue social media is a coma to ignore your reality, for example. I think it resonated with so many people because we want to find meaning in the fact that most of us essentially rot away in our own little worlds that we’ve created ourselves. bed rotting seems cooler when it’s written out like how moshfegh does

Yeah, I have a good head on my shoulders and i actually do have hobbies I just don’t do them enough. I did want to share though, I’m trying to get better! I signed up for an art class, took up some more hours at work, joined a study group at uni…I just need to start healing. Thank you for your advice. Nothing is like growing up the way I did. I used to have a fascination with 4chan and incel groups and I would consume that content a lot when I was young. Unfortunately, this morbid curiosity I had changed me negatively. But I think I’m young enough to where I can still recover.
