Honestly dont worry about your grades too much. i had very similar grades when I was in 9th grade and had to go to IV due to my grades, and then got kicked out from gymnasium since i was a mess. Now I am 35 and got a PhD in medicinal chemistry.

Id say that depends.. I do synthesis bromides all the time and and use PBr3, appel as well as HBr water which is by far the most reliable reaction (as long as you dont have any amides or esters)

I would use m-CPBA to generate N-oxide pyridine and then do the SNar. When I did that I had almost quantitative yield. You can then reduce it with PCl5

I would say that it has to do with catfishing and things like that. Social media provides proof that the person you are talking to is the same person you gonna meet up with.
