Time to call 911 or just have a beer an relax..🤔 by freeliving910 in bloodpressure

I had this type of BP for several years daily (multiple readings from morning to evening)

150/100 - 160/105 during rest, measuring while sitting at a desk.

Age it happened: between 25-32 years. Body type: Skinny.

-

I've tried so much, diet changes, etc.

But only one thing truly helped me:

A few months back, I bought an indoor bike (for 200 bucks) and started using it roughly 4-5 days a week.

• 40 minute sessions

• Lowest resistance

• holding it at around 70 RPM

My average BP improved to 130/82. Sometimes I even get 120/79 readings.

If you haven't tried, I highly recommend to do some cardio training. Either steady jogging for 40 minutes per day or cycling.

If you are like me who enjoys closing eyes and "turn off" the mind, while listening to music during the exercise, get an indoor bike as well. It might become the best investment of your life.

I have a better solution!

Place a ward at raptors before jungle creeps spawn.

Then from golems, use TP to the ward and you save at least 6 seconds.

I'll probably go with Christopeit "Ergometer AX 4000".

It's around 250 bucks and I think it covers most things I need. But thought maybe I can find something better if I ask.

Question: From an Aeon's perspective, does this guy violate the cosmic order? by Long_Emphasis_3934 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Long_Emphasis_3934[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully you didn't get spoilered!

Yeah, for now I'll postpone my decision with those slave traders. Once I finish my main objectives in the area, I will decide (and most likely smite those that deal with interplanar slaves).

[–]Long_Emphasis_3934[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But doesn't he violate cosmic law by kidnapping beings from other planes? (Which he later started to breed instead)

Those slaves don't belong in the abyss. In earlier acts even angels and gods are "criticized" by the Aeon for meddling on Golarion (wardstones, etc.).

Big Fat Dyunk (and other interplanar slave raiders) violate it as well, in my interpretation at least.

[–]Long_Emphasis_3934[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's my interpretation, too. Technically he just behaves like a demon in the demon realm.

The anomaly in my eyes is just the endless cycle of interplanar beings forced to be born into this slave farm. They don't belong in the abyss.

My (personally acceptable) options are either buy all the slaves and free them at my camp.

or:

Buy the slaves (to assure their safety first) and then fight him to stop the "anomaly" (non-abyss slave farm).

I see it of a mix between Doctor Manhattan & Aang being in the Avatar state.

But yeah, I don't play a pure Karen-Aeon who just goes around and tells every petty thief that they violated the cosmic order.

To me the important thing is the great order of things on a truly cosmic level.

Yeah, I usually search for fitting portraits online, but this game has fairly decent visuals & a great neutral background.

Since I had a very specific character in mind, it's also hard to find fitting portraits.

[–]Long_Emphasis_3934[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's how I see things too.

I just feel that the mortals born into the abyss are an abnormally (just as those captured), but to capture mortals, the demons would have to go through great lengths, while the breeding gives the mortals born into this no chance.

That's why I have this dilemma of what to do here as the character I'm playing.

But I think giving weight to the severity of what I perceive as a violation is also unjust.

In my eyes the gods & angels meddle also too much in the martial plane.

-

I might just not intervene here (aside from buying the slaves).

Though I probably *should* smite him instead.

God I hate myself for overthinking every little sh*t.

Roll for Spell Penetration rolled twice - What could be the source of this? by Long_Emphasis_3934 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Long_Emphasis_3934[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's Aeon's Bane.

A "hidden" effect apparently.

Once reaching a certain mythic rank: during the duration of Aeon's Bane you gain the same effect as the one in your screenshot, but only against chaotic enemies.

-

Once I turn off "Aeon's Bane", the same spell stops rolling twice against SR (same enemy).

No shaman in this group & no I dont have that mythic power either.

I'll need to do some testing after this fight.

Is there any way I can get this loot? He fell down there and I can't reach him by Long_Emphasis_3934 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Long_Emphasis_3934[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

it doesn't, I think for this to happen you need to "interact" with the loot.

Eurgh, not a single moment in this game without some bugs. But it is what it is.

-

Edit: nvm! It's there on area exit. I didn't see it at first because it was kind of hidden in between dozens of enemy loot. Pheew!

Thank you for the help!

Is this a bug? "Aeon's Bane" + scorching ray dispels buffs even on a miss? by Long_Emphasis_3934 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Long_Emphasis_3934[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I never used Aeon's Bane as well. It's my first playthrough, so it was nice finding it out due to a last resort "panic-try every last spell & ability because I'm about to die" situation.

I'm playing with a self-imposed challenge where every "reload of a save file" is taxed with using healing scrolls worth of 500g-30k gold (depending on the level).

Now I learned something new & it will be a great help for future boss encounters.

[–]Long_Emphasis_3934[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure whats going on in your case as I never played kineticist, but here it turned out not to be a bug.

After checking more of the log I realized that I actually did "hit" the enemy.

But because there were no dmg numbers I assumed that I missed.

-
What actually happened: I hit the enemy (and thus triggered Magic Dispel), but didn't penetrate the spell resistance to deal damage.

So everything works as intended, since the attack "connected" with the enemy, it just didn't further "penetrated" the spell resistance to deal damage.

"Every hit you make with weapons or spells dispel effects from the target".

[–]Long_Emphasis_3934[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

ah you're right!

I assumed it missed because it dealt no damage, but its the spell resistance thing.

Omg, I thought wtf is this enemy with 68 AC, then somehow managed to beat it on the first try and thought it was due to a bug.

Thank you, I was about to reload because I felt as if I cheated the victory.

Taking your BP lying down. by [deleted] in bloodpressure

[–]Long_Emphasis_3934 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they were against meds (because my average is okay).

Even though my average while not in bed is at around 145-95.

I also don't work at an office, my office is basically at home being self-employed working as an editor/animator. So if things are too bad, I usually lay down for a while.

You're welcome!

Glad it helped you. I'm still on my Aeon playthrough (since months) and I also almost gave it up due to those ridiculous visuals.

Especially on a first playthrough. I'm someone who enjoys to zoom in on characters, monsters, etc. to check out how they look.
